Solid digital torque wrench
This is my first decent torque wrench. Up until now I've only used the bottom of the barrel click type torque wrenches from harbor freight. This 3/8 drive torque wrench from gearwrench is really nice. The accuracy is as advertised, I clamped the wrench in my vise, hung a weight from the handle, and set the torque to: (my weight) / 12 * (length from drive to handle where the weight was attached). It takes 3 AAA batteries that are put into the bottom of the handle. I like how the battery compartment easily screws off, making it fast/easy to remove the batteries for storage.Things that I don't like:1. The amazon listing says 7.4-99.6 FT LB, but the actual product is 10-100 FT LB2. Adjusting the torque setting is pretty annoying how it cycles through the numbers. It increments very slowly initially and then starts incrementing so fast that you easily blow past where you were shooting for. It's pretty weird its frustrating how slowly it increments and then it kinda takes off like a rocket.

Worth the price!
For the price it's amazing! Works really well and feels pretty solid. One thing I don't like is the torque value setting. You have to press the set button then it goes up in .20 increments and beeps for every one of them. You can hold the button to change itbut when you do that it starts slow then just shoots through the numbers. It will take some time to adjust to that. Once you finally reach your value hit the set button again. Now you're ready to torque some bolts. The increment adjustment and all the beeping while pushing the buttons is my only dislike. Save a ton of money compared to the tool trucks if you don't mind beeping and the way you have to go through so many increments.

Besttorque wrench I've owned
I've owned various torque wrenches over 50 or 60 years of home car maintenance and repair and race car build, maintenance and repair. This GearWrench electronic torque wrench is the easiest to use , highest quality one I've had. Best part is, it's not "Made in China". It is, however, made in Taiwan. First thing I did (before trusting it in my wife's 'merciless Benz', was to check the calibration. I found it to be dead-on accurate. at the all important lower settings. Setting and using the wrench is logical and easy. I'm not sure how it would stand up in a busy professional shop environment but I highly recommend it for the serious home mechanic. BTW,I still have a drawer full of Craftsman, Snap-on and lesser torque wrenches, but the GearWrench is my go-to when accuracy counts.

Does the job
Works great and seems to be as accurate as my snap on torque wrench. Good valve for the price but beeps constantly when you get close to the desired torque. Feels a little heavy on one end than the other but overall would buy again

All around great quality.
Very nice digital torque wrench. Have only used it a handful of times so far but very impressed. High quality build and the protective case is just as impressive. Would recommend this to any other mechanic.

Great
I love this torque wrench i ordered it but it didn't show up on time so i had to get another one off the Gear wrench tool truck. I could not wait the next day for it to show up. But the one I have is the same one that I ordered. So I know it is a good one.

Excellent torque wrench!
I use a Snap-On digital torque wrench at the shop and I've used click-type torque wrenches at home. Because I use a 1/2" torque wrench often, I decided I wanted to get a good digital torque wrench to use at home. I couldn't justify the $800 Snap-On, and it just so happened this digital Gearwrench was on sale when I was looking.Well, I'm quite pleased with it overall. It's easy to use and is as accurate as it claims to be from what I can tell. You can set and save the desired torque spec, so it won't move around on you, it tells you how tight you tightened it and you just turn it off to store it instead of having to set it to its lowest setting like with a click-type torque wrench. The length of it is great and it's easy to apply the right amount of torque. I have to play around with the % setting to get it to start beeping not too early and not too late.I would say the only thing I don't like about it are the 0.1 ft.lb. increments. I never use a "less than whole number setting" value on a 1/2" torque wrench. It's always a whole number, like 55, 80, 140, etc. But because you have to adjust it based on 0.1 ft.lb. increments, if it's on 139 ft.lb. and you need to set it to 140 ft.lb., you have to click "up" 10 times and listen to it beep for each click. It's inefficient and forces you to listen to the beeping. When you hold the button down, it will speed up but in almost unpredictable and exponential ways which, of course, causes you to go too far up or down and you end up clicking like 20 times more and listening to each beep. I cover the speaker while I set it because the excessive beeping is just overkill. It should move up and down using whole numbers, not 0.1 ft.lb. increments.I had to write a lot of words to explain the dislike above but that does not mean I do not like this product. I actually really like it, but if they could do something better (at least in my mind), it would be to change the increment setting or at least give us the option to change it.All in all, excellent product. I would recommend this to anyone who uses a 1/2" torque wrench regularly.

1A Werkzeug

Quality product
The wrench arrived on time and it’s easy to see that it is a quality product, certificate of calibration and super case to store it in
