These are like an extra full year of learning to control open strings!
Works better than you can imagine. Buy this size for 5-7 string basses, it works perfect, the xl size is too big for anything under a 8 string bass and if two big it will bow. I own a dozen of these and am buying more. Great for controlling open strings when popping on a bass. On guitars they prevent ambient resonant frequencies from rattling open strings and are a must if doing string tapping. They are great, the three packs ar the best value at bout 10 bucks each.
