I have bounced around after shave for a long time, and this is by far the best. The issue everyone has is skin sensitivity. For me, this has worked wonders. I will utilize this product anywhere I shave (face/groin). There is a slight burn when applying the product, but that is to be expected. I have seen some reviews that say the smell goes bad after sitting on the skin for a while. I will attribute that individual persons. Just like cologne or perfume. Some smell better certain people. Again for me, this product has been amazing. Smell is great, it really helps with razor bumps and has been above and beyond great with the reduction and prevention of ingrown hairs (but shave properly). I hope this works for you as well as it has for me.

Hubbs uses it for ingrown hairs and says it works great and feels nice and cool.

I got a sample of this from Sephora, and The Man fell in love with it instantaneously. He tends to get a lot of ingrown hairs from shaving, and this absolutely works for him, and doesn't cause any irritation, even though he's sensitive to everything to which people have sensitivities. The 1 ounce sample lasted a year, so I'm sure this will last until it turns funny colors, very high quality product where a little dab will do ya' and the cost per use is teeny tiny. The Man has recommended it to many of his friends. I'm not prone to ingrown hairs myself, so can't recommend if it works for the parts that women shave, but if I were, I would steal this - good, neutral scent, feels good on the skin, etc. I've noticed how many fewer ingrown hairs he's had since using this, and no one notices blemishes on others as much as they do on themself, even if the Other is their Significant Other. Great product that works as advertised, and how many things can you say about that? As a woman who is completely oblivious to the horrors of shaving one's face, as opposed to insensitive skin that non one really sees, I've noticed that this product works really well for someone who is irritated by everything. And recommendations can't get any higher than "someone who has a problem noticing that the issue that this product is designed to fix even exists has noticed that it fixes that problem."

I like the way this product makes the skin feel nice and smooth after a good shave. A slight sting, but then it dissipates. I rub it on and have only noticed that it is sticky if you don't rub it all the way in like a lotion. If you don't rub it in, then it does feel sticky instead of smooth. I use it on my groin and face areas right after showering, shaving, and then drying off. It's not too strong of a feminine smell at all. No one has said anything to me about the smell, my wife included. She did appreciate how smooth everything felt afterwards though. I have this on subscribe and save now since it is cheaper. I ordered two of the 5.3 oz and this month, received two of the shaving gel instead of this. Since they won't let you return, even if unopened, I can keep those two. I tried, at first, to just have a single one replaced and received a third shaving gel. I went into chat with a live person and they refunded me for the two orders, and said to keep the three shaving gels. I'll try the gels because I was thinking about it anyway, but $24 each is expensive for that. Now I have three of them. I need to order the after-shave but like another review mentioned, I am not sure I won't receive the wrong item. Something is messed up at the warehouse with product IDs or locations I bet. Anyhow, IF you can get this, it's a great product and has helped me reduce the amount of ingrown hairs as well as that "strawberry patch" of skin.

I love this product. Simply put, it works! Ive bought and used many many after shaves for red bumps/ingrown hairs. I am so happy to have found something that truly helps my skin. I do have more sensitive skin with thicker hair. So this combination makes shaving a chore at times. But a nice after shave like this helps so much. Ive bought cheaper and more expensive brands, but Shaveworks- The cool fix- is the best. It does have a slight burn/tingle once applied DIRECTLY after shaving, but I happen to love it because I feel it working. And its an ever so slight burn, nothing crazy. Now being female, I would prefer it to be unscented but the smell is nice &fresh. It does have that more masculine scent though. The shave cream is sub par. It is very thin and seems to dissolve very quickly. Definitely not a fan of the shave cream. I highly recommend this after shave for those w/sensitive skin/prone to red bumps and/or ingrown hairs.

11/2023 I just don't understand why Cool Fix Aftershave is so expensive. I decided to start using another formula with the same ingredient that cost me a third of the price. I'm big Shaveworks fan, I enjoy the Cool Fix Aftershave and probably purchase over 15 bottles since the late 2010+. I've watch the price keep going up and up every years. You first 2 ingredient are Water and alcohol (or ethanol). Add a little glycolic, salicylic, phytic acids and a little fragrance and you got yourself the most important ingrediencies in the Aftershave 06/ 2018 I'm black and this is seriously one of the best product to keep away razor bump and burn. I've been using Shaveworks Cool Fix for over 7 years. It was recommended to me by a mentor when I used to have real bad razor bumps on both my face and my head. I used a penny size amount after each shave and when you feel the cool feeling you know it's working. I don't waste my time trying anything else. the entire 5.3 oz can last me for up to 4 to 5 months...

So for women?!? Okay… my mother-in-law bought me this and put it in my Christmas stocking four years ago…. I’m a bald man who shaves my head every two days and ever since I tried it This is all I use…. I’ve been re-ordering it for years and today is the first day that I noticed that it’s for women! lol it’s the best thing I’ve come across so I don’t even care and I’m still gonna re-order it!

Have this on autoship! Keeps the head moisturized and has a light fragrance. Would highly recommend.

Always struggled with shaving rash! Worked the first time! Used it for 3 days after shaving morning & evening, no redness, no rash. It does sting, & then cool for 2 mins but not painful. 100% worth the money!

Superb aftershave balm, it tingles or stings (I personally like the sting as I can feel it working) depending on how smooth or rough your shave was but soon cools and soothes the face combating razor burn and ingrown hairs very effectively, I suffer mild irritations the next day after shaving resulting in minute pimples and this quickly kills them off, trumpers coral skin food is more soothing I would say but this is better for people who suffer irritations and ingrown hairs, best ive tried yet.

I’ve been using this for a couple years now and I swear by it. It just works!
