I had to come back to this product to leave a review. I purchased a different brand before this, broke within a week. I then tried clamps on the gas cylinder, slipped after 3 weeks. So I gave it one last throw of the dice, i'd buy a different branded gas cylinder from amazon and its done the trick.I do weigh 400lbs and have heavy chair (dx racer larger model). I have been using this product since March and I haven't had any problems with it breaking or sinking. Strongly recommend.

This was a very cost effective way of extending the life of my chair. Easy to install- the only problem I had was getting the old one out, which was not, of course, the fault of the new piston. I'm a rather portly person, and it takes my weight with not problem at all. Very good indeed.

Useless did not bear any load when fitted, definitely not worth the money and not heavy duty. It's not even fit for use holds no pressure whats oever.

These almost inevitably wear about before the rest of the chain does, and it's great to be able to replace just the cylinder and save a favourite chair.

This is supposed to be a high load rated product at roughly twice the price of the competitors.It was fitted according to instruction. The piston release mechanism on the chair returns the piston to full height but as soon as a person (of any weight) sits in the chair the piston drops to the bottom of its travel.Useless. One star because that is the minimum rating allowed. Could not contact the supplier and so asked for a refund. Still waiting.Previous one has been refitted and is still functional (albeit with a very slow leak).

Perfecto !! Tenía la silla del ordenador con el pistón roto, la subía a los pocos segundos se bajaba. Estaba a punto de tirarla pero este recambio ha ido perfecto y mi mi silla vuelve a funcionar correctamente y parece robusto. Cambiarlo es súper sencillo yo seguí un vídeo de YouTube y en 5 minutos ya lo tenía cambiado.Gracias.

acheté en remplacement d'un vérin fatigué, au bout de 4 ou 5 heures, il se met déjà a descendre tout seul lorsque je m'assois sur le fauteuil et remonte tout seul lorsque je me lève. Il est supposé tenir plus de 2 fois mon poids, à éviter.
