Foundation Jell (5.29 oz)

I'm serious, this is the best product I've EVER used on my hair. Period. I was curious and it had good reviews so I got it on whim and I'm SO glad I did. Even though it says it's best for straight hair (which is probably true considering it's made for Japanese hair), it still works WONDERFULLY on my naturally curly, tangle-prone, difficult-to-manage (ie finnicky AF) hair.It takes just a little bit to make my hair smooth, make curls adhere the way they should, and make unhealthy-looking crazy long split ends look like they don't even need trimming! Even if I accidentally use a little too much after the shower, it doesn't look or feel bad at all (a tad "crunchy" at worst) and the next day after, it's right back to looking beautiful again. That really is amazing. Also, I've noticed that my hair isn't tangling up (and therefore breaking and splitting) like it normally does, especially at the back and on the drier parts that normally do. Seriously, even after 2-4 DAYS, my hair will not tangle up and I lose SO much less hair in the shower and in my hairbrush when I do brush it out.I just wet my hair every day or every other day and spread a tiny bit in my palms and rub it into my hair and let it dry, and it's shiny and pretty and smells wonderful! I have a friend who's known me since high school who said that he's never seen my hair look this good before - that's amazing! Oh, I've also noticed that "fuzzies" like little bits of cotton and fibers don't seem to get in my hair anymore, when they used to collect as if my hair were some kind of micro-dust bunny magnet (which would cause more tangling). I even use less conditioner now, which is great for my hair and my wallet. I really can't praise this stuff enough.Also, if it really does have the UV protection powers it claims (which I don't at all doubt considering how much this has changed my hair for the better already), that would be awesome, because sun exposure damages hair! So I'm like obsessed with this stuff now. :D So even if you have long curly hair, or medium curly hair, or any kind of hair actually, I'm thinking that you simply cannot go wrong with this stuff. It does seem pricey, but you only need to use a tiny little bit at a time even if you have long hair, so it should last a really long time. I've been using mine almost ever since I bought it and it hasn't even made a dent! But don't just believe me, buy it and you will not be sorry!

I have been using this jell for over 20 years. I used to buy it from a Japanese hair salon once a year whenever I visited California. I love this product because 1) it coats my hair nicely and helps keep the static and flyaways under control, 2) it FEELS super light and clean, not stiff or sticky at all, and 3) it smells AHHHMAZING! I am so happy to find this product on Amazon, it’s also a couple dollars cheaper then what I pay in the salon and the next part is , it’s delivered to my house without me having to fly across the country to buy it every year!

I started using Meros Foundation Jell about 9 years ago. I was on vacation in Japan and my strawberry blonde hair was going crazy. I asked several Japanese people about what I could use to get it back under control. They recommended Meros Foundation Jell. It is not "foundation". I am not sure but they may have chosen the word "foundation" to represent the very first thing you put on your hair after washing it. It isn't what we would call jell either. But it is clear. It does not pose your hair or leave a greasy feeling at all. I use it sparingly and rub my hands together and run it through my hair before blow-drying and flat-ironing it. Excellent product. Takes all the tangles out and leaves a shine. It is the best hair product, period.

Nice product but not sure if it's worth the cost. It does a nice job of smoothing out frizzies though. I apply it to damp hair before blow drying but you can also apply a small amount to dry hair (especially in cold/dry weather if your hair is really dry).

Makes hair smooth, shiny. Can use on wet hair as a "primer" before diffusing curly (apply curl cream atop the jell), or on dry hair after straightening. Best hair product ever.

There is no other product on the market - around the world - than this product. Detangles long hair, leaves it shiny and beautiful without the heaviness of other products. This product is made in Japan, where beautiful hair is everywhere. Now I know why.

I used this one when I was in Japan and soooo glad to find it in the states.Jell is really nice product for your hair similar to Bio silk or some others, but for the scent ? Nothing compare to Foundation Jell.I really am thankful and enjoying this. Thanks.
