I purchased this disc way back in 2014. It came with a lovely lenticular slipcover back then. Not sure if that is still included with the pack.This pack contains the 3D disc, along with a DVD copy of the film, which is very much redundant. The 3D is breathtaking and there is no arguing that, but this edition contains just the film - be it the 3D disc or the DVD. No extras, whatsoever. However, you can watch the film in 2D since the BD is a hybrid disc.If you are interested to know more about the making of the film, or even in the alternate versions (Extended and the Special Edition), you'll have to purchase the 3-disc collectors' edition. That is pretty much the only issue I have with this release. If one's interested in just the film in 3D, this is the best option. Otherwise, double-dipping becomes necessary.

Hence don't think just buy when it is discounted.Well ,this movie is surely for 3D blu Ray Disk collection .I ordered this movie from amazon on 20 Dec and they deliver on 22 Morning 11 am ! Bravo, Not only same courier person took sign on paper but also took sign on his smart phone using drawing app. Hat off to Amazon professionalism.. Also It delivered right on time and yes within single piece.Hindi Language is available through Audio setting.However if you are looking for Best 3D 'pop out' effect this movie is not in that category. High immersive 3D and brilliant colors But if you want full entertainment on your 3D tv this movie is surely one of best. Got for ₹579.89 Seller- Excel Innovator.Never saw the movie before buying this set and it was really good. All three versions of the movie were spread across two discs( half movie movie on disc 1 and second half on disc two) with loads of special features. Picture and sound quality was really good for a dvd.

I need to say that Avatar is one of the most beautiful, fascinating, dazzling and innovative sci-fi film I've ever came across way back in 2009!! This movie has recreated and resurrected the 3D technology due to which every other film since Avatar was made in 3D!! But no one can ever recreate the magic, the eternity and the style of a cinematic storytelling the way James Cameron does: The master of film-making of our times!!!! And this film has broken all records and became one of the highest-grossing films worldwide(even surpassed Titanic: another James Cameron film). And the Blu-Ray disc is also a spellbinding experience at the comfort of your home with 2 discs contained: One which contains both 3D as well as 2D versions, and the other is a standard DVD edition!! Audio quality is in English DTS-HDMA 5.1 and Hindi 5.1!! Overall, a terrific movie that will take you deep into an immersive journey!!!

There is nothing to say about Avatar that hasn't been said before. Whole world knows its awesomeness and importance in cinema history. This 3D blu-ray is the best home movie experience you can have. It comes with 2 discs. Disc-1 is a blu-ray disc with 3d/2d option. Disc-2 is a DVD. I own a LG cinema 3D TV, and this movie looks breath taking in it. Picture quality is amazing and sound is beyond awesome. Only negative aspect is that there are no extras/making content on this edition. Go for the collector's extended edition for that but that is not available in 3D. But overall this is the crown jewel of my blu-ray collection and no wonder this is the highest selling 3D blu-ray movie of all time.Amazing amazon service as always. Got it delivered in 2 days.Verdict : Must buy for any movie fan.

That translates into this having one amazing visual presentation either in 3D or 2D. James Cameron has mentioned in press conferences that this choice was made as to offer more visual depth in long and open shots, and more of the "claustrophobic" effect in close-ups. Another thought to ponder regarding the film having been filmed in StereoScopic 3D, even when you pause the film, you do see not only what could otherwise be considered motion blur, but the slight dual-focus you may expect from a 3D presentation. Not to be left unmentioned is the equally valuable work of those from the Stan Winston Studios who provided many of the physical on-screen character effects. The amount of "3D pop" in 2D is excellent and you get a really great sense of depth and such even in the 2D presentation of the film. The 2D version of the film certainly has a few pros to viewing the film in 3D, with the availability to see so much of the detail, the beautiful saturation, and a solid black level. With no disrespect to the audio presentation, you will perhaps find yourself more taken up with this phenomenal video quality so much that the audio track may be only background elements to you upon your first viewing. It should really come as no surprise, this once again earns itself a perfect "5 Star Rating" for overall video quality and is still the utter definition of "reference quality" in terms of Hi-Definition visuals. In either 3D or 2D, you'll be amazed by the video quality found on this release.Blu-ray Audio Quality – The audio quality on this release is presented in 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio. First, note that just like the video presentation, this audio presentation too has been THX Certified. As this audio track simulates the fictional world of Pandora, the 5.1 setup offers an amazing audible performance that is well representing of the story's sci-fi and ethereal nature, making it nearly impossible to decide on where to start in describing this presentation. One of the first things that will surely charm your ears is the original music composed by James Horner, perfectly conveying the tones of both worlds; the humans' camp with a more hearty and war-like brass sound, and the natural world of the Na'vi, translating a more tribal and passive sound. Composer James Horner was also responsible for the original music on the films ‘Apocalypto,’ ‘Troy,’ ‘Titanic,’ ‘Apollo 13’ and ‘Braveheart’ to name just a few. In the scene involving Jake`s avatar being captured by the tribe, the background chatter of the surrounding Na'vi people fills the soundscape, providing 360 degrees of voices that simulate the feeling of truly standing within the action. This for instance is a great example of the superb usage of all the channels in the 5.1 setup, however, when it comes to this release, generally it is not even necessary to pinpoint a specific scene, as one could basically scan through the film on Blu-ray and be impressed. All general sound effects are impressive, offering multiple channel usage, panning at times, and simply a general clarity of sound. You've really got to hand it to those behind the efforts in the sound department here in having created the sounds of imaginative fictional creatures, sci-fi machinery of multiple sorts, and even a setting that, though merely portraying the paradise-like world of Pandora, is itself absolutely glowing with subtle sound. The dialogue is presented perfectly on this release, as both the live-action organic recordings from the live actors on set, and the presumably voiced-over dialogue of the Na'vi characters. Overall this is once again just downright impressive, almost as much as the visuals in terms of sound mix and very much worthy of deeming "demo material" in terms of audio as well. ‘AVATAR’ in its much anticipated retail release to Blu-ray 3D earns a perfect "5 Star Rating" for audio quality just as the film scored in the debut release and re-release both of which were 2D. I'm happy to report that much, I really am, and I think the fans will once again be very, very pleased with this awesome stunning audio presentation.Finally, it remains to be seen whether a title of even this astronomically high profile can push 3D hardware sales so long after its general release and after the initial hype behind 3D TV have said things have died down a bit, but I disagree, as I love any 3D Blu-ray discs. While ‘AVATAR’ remains a big favourite of mine, and maybe Blu-ray fans have perhaps moved on to fresher releases like ‘The Avengers’ and ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ and may see this ‘AVATAR’ release as another money grab on the way to the so called up and coming "Ultimate Version" and we really mean it this time! No really, this is the one to buy! It really boils down to this: ‘AVATAR’ fans now have the 3D version to watch that doesn't cost an arm and a leg to acquire, and folks who already have the Panasonic branded release don't need to buy again, unless a new artwork and the slipcover is brought out. Who knows what future editions will hold, other than that there will be future editions and that there probably will be new material in them. As it is, this is currently the best way to watch ‘AVATAR’ in 3D in the home and the price doesn't really hurt. Certainly one can see why ‘AVATAR’ is an important and destined-to-be prominent film through the rest of the history of the medium not only as a clear-cut fan-favourite but also as a hallmark visual effects movie that will be remembered alongside the likes of ‘Star Wars,’ ‘The Last Starfighter,’ ‘Jurassic Park,’ the ‘Lord of the Rings’ trilogy and ‘Toy Story.’ Overall the bonus material here is a huge disappointment but let's face it, you've most likely bought the "Extended Collector's Edition" Blu-ray Disc set that actually contains bonus materials. That release also contained two other cuts of the film; whereas this only contains the original 162 minute theatrical cut. Sometime soon maybe we'll see a fourth and final release in both 3D and 2D that contains those other two cuts of the film and bonus materials but for now if you want to see those you'll just have to go back to or consider purchasing the "Extended Collector's Edition" 3-disc set on Blu-ray. I saw ‘AVATAR’ in the cinema in 3D and was sort of impressed, but now seeing it in this amazing 3D Blu-ray awesome disc, it looks even more superior and I am glad I waited for this 3D Blu-ray version to be released and I have been more than impressed and now it is a great honour to now having this added to my ever expanding 3D Blu-ray Collection. Finally James Cameron/Disney released a physical copy of Avatar in 4k..... and it's great. It's no shock as Cameron cares about his transfers.So with a proper TV/4k player (not a xbox) you get one hell of a vibrant visual experience in all it's glory.I do not have my surround set up so I can't speak to that.The story is very simple (Dances with Wolves in Space) advanced humans clash with native Na'vi over resources. A ex-soldier is given a second chance at making his way in the world after his twin brother dies and they can use him as a stand in for the Avatar project. The project was designed to try and peacefully communicate with the natives on Pandora... what follows is a clash of cultures between science, nature, and the hard driving progress of corporations.Should you own this movie? Sure, if you have never seen it or have a good 4k tv/player the visuals are amazing.

Avatar una película épica sin lugar a duda como muchos ya sabremos pero mi reseña será sobre el aspecto técnico si vale la pena la actualización a 4K y en mi opinión como coleccionista de discos Blu-ray es que efectivamente hay una mejora en la resolución pero el HDR está localizado simplemente en lugares muy puntuales como en los colores tipo neón morados verdes es decir hay que fijarse concretamente en estos puntos ya que no es un HDR que se vean a simple vista pero puntualizo no es una mala transferencia sugiero comprar la agua a buen precio

No era fan de esta película, cuando se estrenó en el cine me aburrió y la verdad no la consideraba buena. Esta ocasión me di la oportunidad de volver a verla y me pareció muy buena la historia, disfrutar de la imagen en 4k y buen audio, vale mucho la pena al igual que la segunda parte.El producto llegó en buenas condiciones y viene con su slipcover.

the other day I was out and about and found Avatar The Way of Water in a best buy and bought it but did not watch it until I received Avatar because I wanted the full 4K affect and man it is worth it while also I had forgotten so much of this movie but now I have a better understanding of so many underlying themes that run through this one and The Way of Water. The picture is spectacular in 4K and it is so beautiful to watch the story unfold. Have to say though The Way of Water is an even better film. Avatar though does like so many of the best Star Trek shows of the original that had so many underlying aspects running through them. Avatar is one of those films you want to watch over and over again and see something new each tme.
