Looks good, but can't be sure how long it will last.
The 2008 GM 3.7 belt tensioner looks as if it is well made. There were no problems installing this part. It took long to gather the correct tools than it did to replace the part. The big question is how long the part will last. We do not drive very much these days and, I would be surprised if the truck was driven 3k mi. a year. So, it hopefully will be many years before the part fails. The original part lasted for 160k mi. and was still working when it was replaced. If this part lasted half of those miles, it's a good deal. But only time, and miles, will tell. A follow up report will be posted if the part fails within the first year, or after a couple thousand miles. Date of this review is 2/23. The part is the AUQDD 38178 Belt tensioner.
