*Detailed Review*General Overview: This has to be one of the best books for the 2 chunks (World and Post Independence History). I've not read this in full, but it's written in an easy to understand language, schematics and diagrams makes remembering facts a less cumbersome task.Also, the questions in between lines is a feature one of its kind.(Packaging is the best I've ever got on a book ordered through Amazon!)World History: ONE STOP SOLUTION! The depth and width of material is just what is required for UPSC GS-1. Perfect replacement to Arjun Dev(covering events only after 1850s) and other coaching materials that might be too bulky, this book finds a sweet spot for World History.Post Independence History: Given the fact that UPSC hasn't asked any question from this chunk after 2013 Mains, reading books like Bipin Chandra might not have the best cost-benifit. But *spectrum* goes head to head with this book, because it's also in a crisp and lucid manner. So, it's a matter of personal choice wrt Post Independence History.Considering it has been written by someone who knows the demand of this exam, also these topics being static wouldn't have changed from what he knew back then...One can definitely go for this book.

Print and paper quality is good. One should have covered a better source for World History n Post Independence to use this book effectively for revision. If u r looking to cover the subjects by solely relying on this book, It will not help !!

You can use it to glimpse on some points for revision and some questions are given which you can use to test your understanding. Instead read story of civilisation class 9,10 old ncert for understanding. Written this review after reading both ncerts and this book. Post independence part I didn’t go through.

It is a great book , as it is given in exam-related format but It is not beginner-friendly,I suggest you read Tamil Nadu board World history/ Arjun dev once and then can use this book.It is a really fine book.

Everything is given in an absolute and precise form. Best choice for a civil aspirant I would say for world history and post-independence 🌸💫
