Almost Didnt Finish
In all honesty I thought I would quit reading when I was halfway through the first book. I am not sure what wasnt sitting well with me, but it seemed to drag on and I never felt like Tera was going to be a true heroine. Thankfully, something in the end of the first book drew me to the second and it is here I fell in love with her and many other characters, while at the same time learning to appreciate that this was not your typical happy ever after. I will not spoil anything, but to say by the end of the third book I thoroughly enjoyed the characters, story line and pace. I also felt it was a satisfying end, which if you are an avid reader you know is hard to come by. Love them and will think on this series fondly for some time I am sure.

Loved it!
This book was easily one of my most anticipated books! I stumbled upon the 1st book in the series by accident, which prompted me to look up the 2nd book immediately and downloaded it before I even finished the second book. Finally, finally, the 3rd book was here!!I tried really hard to read slowly so I could stretch it up. But unfortunately the story swept me up like a tidal wave and I could do nothing but read on until the final page. I read Dana Marton's note at the back of the 3rd book that she initially intended for Batumar to die and paired Tess with Prince Graho in 2nd book. What?! My heart almost stopped when I read that! Thank goodness that plan changed and this became a trilogy of Batumar and Tess' epic saga. I can't imagine reading about Tess and Prince Graho as a couple. While charming, I'm sure, he's no Batumar. In any case, I loved everything about the book. The tight and action packed plot, the romance between Batumar and Tess - oh, the multitude of extreme trials and challenges these two have to go through for the people they love! And just when you thought all hope was lost, another page turner came along. Phew!! What a wild ride, and soooo worth it!Thank you Dana Marton, for sticking through all 13 long years to complete this book. I appreciate it, from the bottom of my heart. May the writing muse be with you! I'm just glad I didn't have to wait for 13 years to read the final book, that would suck big time but I would probably do it, regardless. Because, again, so worth it!

Thru darkness comes light
I'm so glad that the author perservered and finished out the series. I was not disappointed in the least. There were definitely sad moments but the conclusion was worth it. I can't imagine a different ending that would be better.Batumar is one of my favorite heros. He's strong, caring, and sexy. I melted every time he help Tera so tenderly.Tera is an ultimate strong female character. She doesn't like violence but realizes that sometimes it cannot be helped under dire circumstances. If you've not read any of the Hardstorm series I highly recommend starting from the beginning. This is one story that will stick with you. I read the first two books in this series back in 2014 and still remembered the characters. I was highly anticipating this book and waited to read it on a day I didn't have to put it down.

Wonderful end to an exceptional series
This trilogy was so well done. The maturation of our main character was beautiful. Tera, a healer, becomes a war queen thru necessity. We live her adventures and empathize with her ongoing struggle to be effective in the war she's fighting while desperately trying to hold on to her personal ethical system. There is nothing childish about these books. Our heroine doesn't keep gaining magical powers to become the biggest baddest scariest phenomenon ever. Instead, she suffers. Badly. And we love her all the more for it. Kudos to Marton for writing such an adventurous yet thoughtful story. I'm sad to see it end.

Good ending to the series
I love Dana Marton's other books, and I really wished I could have loved this series too - it's not bad - but it just wasn't for me. There's nothing wrong with the writing, the quality is as good as always, but the characters and the story just didn't grab me, I found the plot just a bit too convoluted. The saga does come to a fitting end, losses are mourned and lessons are learned. Four stars, because even though the story wasn't quite to my taste, the writing is good.

Wish I could give it more than Five Stars
I finished the third book of The Hardstorm Saga with mixed feelings - I am sad it is over but I loved the entire journey of Tera and Batumar and the ending was rewarding. Tera, as a healer, believed that kindness was the way to live her life even with all the terrible things that happened to her. Batumar, as a warlord, knew that you had to make difficult, and often violent, choices to protect your people. The love between Tera and Batumar is what kept them going. Tera grow and learned that while she believed in kindness there where times she needed to do an action that was not kind but that would save her people and Batumar. It is a wonderful journey and Dana describes the locations so that you feel like you are there. Her characters are wonderful and I came to care about Tera and Batumar but also great secondary characters. I would love to see additional books devoted to Lord Karnagh and Prince Graho. I think this Saga is a wonderful read and I have recommended it to friends. I love Dana's books and the Hardstorm Saga is my favorite.
