Just what a 5 year old Lego lover needs!
My five year old son loves to marvel at the designs and directions in this book. He requests to read the little blurbs about each vehicle as a bedtime story. It has certainly sparked his own creative designing!

Bought this book for my 11 year old son because he is crazy about lego and cars. He has tonnes of lego, but after he has built it he dismantles and fiddles to build other things (mostly cars and trucks). It contains actual instructions, with pictures

Creativity Lives!
My son has many, many Legos, makes many of his own creations, but loves "instructions." He's five years old and feels like a big kid when "reading" them. So instead of buying another Lego box I gave him this book. He was overjoyed! It not only gives him those instructions that he loves but also gives him ideas for making his own Lego inventions. A great buy!

I gave this as a Christmas gift to a 2nd grader that is a big time LEGO builder. His Mom says he has been enjoying it very much and it keeps him busy.

Specialty pieces abound!
I've gone cover-to-cover with my son and, despite us owning probably a couple hundred dollars worth of "Lego Classic" kits, there isn't a single vehicle we could build start to finish.Yes, you can "Lego-engineer" your way around some of the items (e.g. combining several pieces to make a single piece), but far too many other instances this is just not possible. I'm including a photo of a particularly egregious example - it's a molded plastic bat wing looking thing used in the book to build a flying car. I've scoured the "Lego Classic" kits and, if you are seeing one that includes a couple of these wings, you've got better eyesight than I do! Good luck "Lego-engineering" your way around this and many of the other specialty pieces.I do have to say the book itself is extremely high quality from every possible perspective, which is the only thing saving this from a one-star review. The pages have a really nice card-stock like thickness and sort of a matte finish. The illustrations of the assembly instructions are small, but clear enough to follow and each vehicle in the book has a nice little blurb providing context. The builds themselves are super creative and look like a lot of fun...I just don't think we'll be building any of them. One gripe not specifically related to this book but more directed at Amazon reviewers in general: I wish people would hold off from making what I call "new car smell" reviews. When you are driving your first new car home from the dealer and intoxicated by the new car smell, everything is all roses - "Wow - so many cup holders! Fog lights - cool!!!" It seems to me there are a lot of such reviews on this product giving it 5 stars saying things like "looks great, I think my grandkids will love this!" I would rather see a review written after said grandkids have had a chance to actually try to build some of this stuff.

Lots of ideas
My grandson is always building and taking apart his lego so this gives him the ability to get the pcs he needs if he doesn't already have it to make his project

Good book. Son likes it.
My son really likes this book. The photos are good and the projects are approachable. I'd suggest it's for ages 5 and up. My son likes to go brought the list of blocks needed and search for them in his collection to get organized. Too bad they can't put the lego model number for the blocks for easy ordering, but I understand why they can't.

Fantastic! My son loves this so we bought one for the home. Excellent full colour instructions just like in the Lego boxes.
