I use these at work everyday, they last ages & drill just about anything
Bosch expert multi material bits are high quality bits that i use every day at work. They will drill through pretty much everything.Concrete, brick, block, wood, metal, tiles, plastic etc..I primarily use them for brick, block, concrete & they will last several hundred holes with ease.If you want a bit for just metal or wood, then I suggest buying bits specifically for them, but these will do it, albeit not as fast or as easily.I've used them to drill screw heads out several times without reaching for a metal bit, & if you hit any metal etc.. while drilling, they will not get damaged & generally just deal with it

Pretty good for the price
As a seasoned tradesman I find this 7 x 100 bit very durable however you can blunt or burn the heads off very quickly on hard bricks if you push too hard or at too high a speed. If you over stress any drill bit you'll kill it very quickly. Occasionally I push it to the limit where the tip goes smoking red hot and self destructs but usually I am more careful than that. Only use high speed for a few seconds which is enough to go 50mm into a standard brick with a good drill. As for tough concrete I wouldn't use this drill bit or a hammer drill, I'd use the SDS instead. As for drilling concrete lintels do not use SDS as you could shatter the lintel especially if you hit the steel bars inside.... At a rough guess I reckon I get 200 plus 50mm deep brick holes out of the Bosch 50 x 100 drill bit but I'm sure I could get more if I were a little more gentle. Just burned out the last one pushing it too hard. grrrr.

A great addition to the tool box
Always hated the thought of one for all blades and drills as in my head if you want to drill wood get a wood drill and then if you want to drill steel use a hss bit. Then moving on to these…… they actually work wicked and if used in the right situation then they are a massive winner. Don’t get me wrong I won’t be throwing my other drill bits away and use these for every application but I am saying they make a great addition. One job that comes to mind is fitting window blind brackets, drilling though the plaster into a lintel of some sort and though into the brick behind…. Absolutely perfect and took seconds per hole.Hope this review helps

Drilling in time
I really liked these Bosch professional drill bits, but recently I have found that when drilling masonry they seem to blunt very quickly. For wood they are good when they are sharp but as soon as you’ve used them on masonry they are no longer very sharp.
