Radish Grater DAIKON OROSHI Slicer Japan Imports by Tworld

We've used other graters before and then my husband found this one on Amazon. I thought, "how much better can a grater be?" But then I used it and it is excellent in every way. From the actual grating, to the catch pan, to the screen to filter out the moisture, it's terrific! We use it for grating daikon radish, but it would also be super for ginger. I would highly recommend.

Initially I was a bit skeptical since the grating was made of some kind of plastic. However, technology has come a long way. The grater was surprisingly well made and exceeded my expectations. My daikon oroshi (grated daikon/radish) came out beautifully. It is great to have the option to use the netted insert or not. I just left it in there. I especially like the self contained design so I don’t have to be bothered looking for another kitchen piece to “catch” the grated daikon or ginger.The instructions were all in Japanese, but as one reviewer mentioned, one could figure out how to use it with the illustrations provided. Perhaps in the future the company can add English to their repertoire. The size was just right and the rubberized bottom aided in preventing the grater from slipping. I would recommend this product.

This little plastic grater is pretty amazing. I had an old school one that used to take me more than 15 minutes to grate a small piece of daikon. My hands and arms (yes I had to switch my hands cuz it was so exhausting) would cramp up often. This little thing took me no time to crate the same size daikon. I wanna say it reduced 3/4 th of the time. Best part is the underlying box underneath that caught all the water so my grated radish was not soaking in water afterwards. Great product.

This is a little more expensive than other graters so you're likely to be hesitant, but I think it was absolutely worth the prifce. As reference, I've used a circular grater and one of those "many-in-one" graters that's like a board (it has a slicer and other handy things). Those hurt my hands; the circular one prefers a circular motion when grating so my hands got tired easily. The "many-in-one" was just a pain to use; my hands got really sore after using that one. These options took quite a while to grate just 1/4th of a daikon. They also required a separate container.This thing grates fast, quite literally in seconds for a daikon of the same size. The sharpness is great, and what's even better is that it's more "hands-free;" the grip works really well on my countertop that I don't even have to hold the container for stability, just the daikon (but it's still preferred to hold it just in case). It's compact, and it's super easy to wash. The only concern I have would be the fragility of the net if I wash the grater too strongly or if I run it under the dishwasher, but it's an optional piece so it's not a major negative.

This is exactly what I was looking for! It grates my ginger perfectly.

Wasn't sure about a plastic grater, but it works great to finely grate nagaimo and onions.

他の方のレビューが良かったので、購入しました。すりおろしが楽に出来ますし、水切りネットがとてもいい具合の水切り状態にしてくれます。コンパクトな所は収納に便利ですが、沢山おろしたい時には、もうひと回り大きくても良かったかな？と思わせるサイズ。大根おろし食べたいけど、おろすのめんどくさいなぁとあまり思わなくなりました。この値段でこんなにすりおろし易いなら、早く買えば良かったと思っています。
