Ahhh! ::sigh of relief from rubbing power wheelchair legs::
This normal body size power wheelchair lower leg and foot padding is a very welcomed addition that is easy to install. Using a very few simply foot pedal home_made extensions, I was able to add at least 6 inches of length to my metal foot rests with this much more comfortable and shock absorbing cushioning. As far as the lower leg portion of padding, I used 1 green strip of a Thera-band used and old from years of use for Physical Therapy, to tie behind the top of the cushion to keep the cushion flush forward to provide support to my legs. A piece of rope or laminated wire could had worked just as well. Best of all is when my power wheelchair is in a full backward recline with my legs up in the air: then, this cushion functions like a very soft pillow to support my legs, ankles and feet. This cushion can even be made waterproof by covering it with a large enough plastic bag, leaving small slits on the sides for the velcro straps that fasten the cushion to the wheelchair legs.

not quite what I expected
it is does not fit my chair properly, i will have to make some adjustments (cutting the cover open and trimming the foam down), thank goodness I am a seamstress. I will also make a cover for it, as the one on it is not very good. the fabric is thin and a very lose weave.
