I bought these beads for a few reasons: they are attractive, they are stone beads, and they are neutral between males and females. I have a young male relative who was complaining that I was only making jewelry for my female relatives. That sent me on a quest to find beads that would look nice on a man. I like matte beads for men, as shiny beads seem to feminine to me.I went through tons of beads and I tried to come up with beads with colors that my male relatives would favor. I really enjoy these beads for other reasons too: they feel good, the integration of colors through them are just gorgeous, they would look great with any kind of casual outfit, and they match up well with other kinds of beads. I plan to buy some more.

I have a lot of beads, many of which are in some shade of blue. These are excellent beads - smooth, with a sort of dusty look, in a turquoise/blue pretty color. Understated, but beautiful. Don't look at the expanded view that makes them look a little like a dry, cracked desert floor - the actual size bead looks like a continuous color, and, unlike the recycled glass beads, they feel good against your skin. Note that 10mm is still a fairly small bead (see charts that show bead sizes).

Used it to make bracelets

Very disappointed, these were not matte pink Aventurine stones at all. Completely different stone that is Matte Orange/Red. Looks nothing like the pictures advertised at all.

I’m really bummed- this was such a pretty bead and I ended up buying it several times because it made such pretty bracelets. However, the first time I wore one of them the weathered part wore off and there was just a cheap white bead. This was after one day of wearing it. Made really pretty bracelets look cheap. Disappointing.
