Hammerite Metal Paint Hammered Red 250Ml

I used this to re-paint the small red pinstripe detail that was fading, on my rims. Easy to use, perfect color match and hasn't chipped or scratched (Its been at least a month)

Tolle Farbe sieht echt gut aus habe damit zwei alte gusseiserne Transmissionsräder (über hundert Jahre alt) lackiert. Die Farbe ist ihren Preis wert.

La couleur « red hammered » n’est pas l’équivalente du « vert martelé » car l’effet martelé n’existe pas sur cette couleur. Quant à l’aspect du rouge, il est très fort, « rouge pompier » un peu foncé. Il faut donc le savoir avant de l’acheter. En revanche, il n’a pas du tout l’aspect métal, donc rien à voir avec un effet cuivré, par exemple. C’est une peinture néanmoins épaisse qui protège bien le support.

The paint from Hammerite is okay and i believe that this sort of paint is difficult to manufacture, but after a couple of times of opening the tin the paint requires thninning with Turpentine or Hammerite clean and paint additive just to use it. If you were parying this you would need at least 1-100 ratio of additive. The Hammerite aerosols are pretty useles if they contain Hammered paint, the Smooth is fine. RUSTOLEUM does the best and the best colour range, however of course being Australia, we only get the three colours from them. Black, Silver and White, wheras the US of A gets a smorgasboard of colours.
