Very nice gift box of Cajun seasonings at a significant price hike
This Louisiana Cajun Seasoning and Spice Variety Pack Box with 4 Different Brands contains a collection of spice mixes ready to make your favorite gumbo or jambalaya. We've used Tony Chachere's for many years, since friends visited from Baton Rouge. The others are new to use. Only Slap Ya Mama Cajun Seasoning lists complete ingredients. It's just salt, red pepper, black pepper, and garlic. The others list "spices" as well as anti-caking agents. I do like knowing exactly what I'm using, and I prefer to leave the anti-caking products out, whenever possible. Still, I very much appreciate that all four are clearly labeled "No MSG" marking these products as safe for those who need to avoid it. My biggest issue with this package is the exorbitant price. Each of these canisters is available in our local supermarkets or online for between $2-4. $27 for the gift box really seems like a lot. Even as a gift. If you aren't concerned about cost, this is a great combination of Cajun spices ready to go.
