Quality PEX/crimp only valve made by THC under the Ecopoly brand, part number 28910. THC also makes Flair-it fittings that are also high quality and used extensively in RV and marine applications and can be used with PEX as well as other pipe materials and do not require crimping or special tools. If you go to Flair-it.com you will find info about Ecopoly, Flair-it and other THC brands. Under "Contact Us", Elkhart Supply is listed, possibly a distributor?The flow pattern of this valve can be confusing so I attached a photo to indicate the water flow for the two positions of the valve. The valve handle moves 90 degrees.The valve I received differs somewhat in appearance than the Amazon photo (see my attached photos). The valve handle is a different shape which matches the shape of the white colored Flair-it fittings. Both this Ecopoly valve and the Flair-it valve I replaced have the THC logo stamped in the handle.My Flair-it it valve began leaking due to damage I caused when reworking some of my RV plumbing, not the valves fault. I replaced it with this one because it was considerably less expensive and I happen to have a PEX crimp tool and a supply of SS crimp rings.This Ecopoly valve is intended to be used ONLY with 1/2" PEX that is crimped with one of the various standard methods of crimping PEX pipe. The "barbs" are NOT barbs, they are standard PEX style rings and must be used with a crimp ring and crimp tool for a watertight seal. PEX pipe will slip over the fittings with virtually no resistance, so if you try to use typical 1/2" ID soft hose and hose clamps it will be a very loose fit and a leak is almost guaranteed.The Flair-it 16910 would be a better choice if your application requires the use of soft hoses and you don't have a PEX crimp tool. The Flair-it version has a "real barb" that is significantly larger in diameter than the PEX fittings. While PEX can be used with Flair-it fittings it requires considerable force to push it over the Flair-it barb so would work better with soft hoses. The Flair-it 16910 has the exact same valve characteristics and flow pattern as this Ecopoly 28910.After installation of this Ecopoly valve with PEX pipe and proper crimps I had no leaks. The valve movement was a little more stiff initially than the Flair-it valve but works as expected and I am happy with this purchase and expect it to last a long while.

Replaced our RV water heater and didn’t imagine I’d need to replace these but as soon as I had everything back together one went. Replaced it and the other went. Safe to say if you’re doing a water heater just get these and save yourself the hassle I dealt with.

I liked the way it was exact replacement, but very hard to turn, mine is installed in a tight spot and that makes it harder to maneuver. Great product and works good with no leaks.

My RV didn't come with a way to get the antifreeze into the water lines without disconnecting from tank. So put this in line with the tank and couldnt be simpler to winterize now.

It was an exact fit exact replacement yes you actually have to have crimpers but that's okay I'm a plumber by trade anyways cuz exactly what I needed thank you very much

Junk!!! They leak through (as in they do not completely block pressure/flow to the port that's supposed to be closed off). Get quality metal ones. Too late for me as I already sealed my water heater in. Had to add extra valves in the back of the WH while it was already installed. As you can imagine, that was not an easy job.

I purchase this to replace the one that came with our camper it started leaking this one works very well.(no leaks)

We had a leak at our water bypass valve when we opened our trailer for the year. We ordered this one and it arrived quickly. It was easy to install and we haven't had any issues with it at all.

Have used this yet and need a second one to do what I want. Wish they came in a left and right as I I’m using them as a bypass and will have to adjust the way I use them.

Think it was described as being made from brass but is definitely plastic.
