SomSom Modern LED Floor Lamp - Very High Brightness, Indoor Lamp - Living Room Standing Light - Alternative to Halogen - Built in Touch Dimmer - White

Needing more light in my sons room and not wanting a typical light fixture when I saw this one it fit the criteria. The only thing that had to be assembled was the base which you just screw on and you’re done. This floor lamp has five different brightness settings and comes with a remote control. The highest setting has a good amount of light that easily fills a 15 x 10 room. The only negative is that the light is kind of wobbly on the base but unless you’re messing with it a lot it should not be a problem.

There are only 2 very small screws that are also very close together, that is supposed to hold this up. The light gets delivered in 2 pieces; the "bubbles" and the flat, round, stand... Each has 2 holes, in order to line up the flat round base with the body of the lamp.... The 2 screws are no more than a cm in length I'd imagine.... Plus they are really close together.... The whole lamp, although it does stay standing, wobbles back and forth. This makes me nervous because there are kids in the house... Other than that, the power button is in a really weird place.... It's a bigger button on the bottom side of one of the rings.... It does have 3 different levels of brightness though.... All in all, I have to say I'm a little disappointed... But I do think it could make for a neat element in there right place for the right function.... Not just conducive to the average, daily life in most typical households today.

The title I choose explains my perception of this light. I placed it in front of a shiny black area and the glow behind? Just look at it! And I HATE assembly of anything, may I say? As easy as the instructional picture shows? Yes, that is indeed how straightforward the simple assembly is! And beautiful!

It’s only about 45” tall. I put it on an end table and like that much better than on the floor, however, I’m thinking I will go a step further and mount this on the wall as wall art. The base is not super sturdy and the switch is in an odd place. Mounted on the wall horizontally above a fireplace might be super cool looking though. I’m still debating on this. The rings feel like they are made of some kind of metal (aluminum?) and the plastic lenses are very pretty and diffused. I like that this lamp is dimmable.

The media could not be loaded.  This is in my bedroom in the corner. I have it sitting on a small side table to give it some more height. It’s so unique looking and you just tap your finger on the controller to set which lighting mode you want.

Talk about unique and modern. So beautiful. Haven’t seen anyone with this lamp and I get many compliments on it.

Love this light, it looks like the rings are floating when lit and all my family and friends think it’s the most unique lighting feature
