Great feeder!!
Love this feeder! I have a lot of blue jays and doves that take over my other feeder so this one keeps them off for my chickadees and cardinals. I did also drill a few bigger holes for water and snow to drain and seemed to help so the seed doesn’t stay wet and clump. I had birds on the feeder within minutes of hanging it. Heavy duty and the cover helps keep water out and bigger birds. Highly recommend!

So Many Things to Love About This Feeder
Update: BLUEBIRDS!! I just ordered two more of these! I got a great fruit, nut and seed mix for the larger mesh and finch food for the smaller. This is the BEST bird feeder I have ever owned. So far it has withstood rain, snow, sleet and the ice storm is coming. To begin with, I would love that it has a roof. This protects so much against rain. I like that it has little holes in the tray so that any moisture from rain will not gather in the trade and cause mushy food. I love that there are two options for food. One more for the peanuts and one for Combination birdseed foods. You need to unscrew the base from the cover to be able to fill. This is not really a dealbreaker for me at all. I have it outside my living room window and they come right up to it to feed. It really attracts all sorts of birds, so it’s a very effective draw for bird lovers to watch their feathered friends The size hasn’t drawn any larger birds such as Cardinals or Blue Jays but this is OK with me because then it also prevents the really big birds like crows and other seed hogs. Very happy! And it’s attractive!

Birds love it, so do I
Nice feeder, birds love it and it shields the feed tray and main seed storage unit well from rain and snow. Easy to fill, just unscrew the top and add the seed. Two different compartments, one side for larger seed and the other for smaller seeds. It's well made. I now have two. The birds and I like it so much!!

Great feeder, but be careful when cleaning!
Update: While I still give this bird feeder 4 stars, it doesn't keep out grackles or cowbirds as I had hoped. If you're trying to keep out nuisance birds, I would recommend trying an adjustable dome instead. This is a very sturdy, well-constructed bird feeder. I didn't receive any cleaning instructions with the item, but it is very easy to figure out how to take it apart and clean. I would've given 5 stars, but I had one issue (and a warning) - when you clean the inside of the metal mesh, I recommend wearing some kind of gloves. There was a wire protruding at the base where it connects to the frame, and I pricked my finger on it. It could easily cause someone to cut a finger while cleaning. I was able to fix the problem easily, but be careful. Otherwise, this is a great bird feeder.

Buy this one! Here's why.
This is the best bird feeder out of the many I have bought. I've discarded other feeders in the two years I've had it. It's still in perfect shape despite the beating sun of the south after 2 years hanging in the yard. The reason it rocks is the unusually large size, and overhang, of the plastic top. Almost no other feeder is engineered this way. (The top covers are shorter, so sideways rain gets in, turning the seed into icky cement.) I also like that you can put standard seed in one side, thistle or tiny seeds in the other because of the different sized slats, since I primarily wanted to feed goldfinches and Cardinals. The birds would use the other feeders to wait on for their chance to feed on this one and depleted the seed from this one much faster until I simply threw the others away. Added bonus, it's too small for the doves to comfortably fit on, so they stay off of it. My next feeder will be another one of these!

Wonderful feeder for smaller birds.
This bird feeder attracts goldfinch, song sparrows, house sparrows, house finch and ground feeders/doves and dark eyed junco. So many birds come to this feeder that I ordered a second one to accommodate more. This is a great feeder for small birds. It’s also the bird feeder I watch the most. It’s always got birds on it and birds feeding below it. I highly recommend it for your smaller birds.

Birds love it!
I put this feeder up next to a window as soon as I received it and the next morning I had several Cardinals happily feeding from it. I really like the dual compartments so I can feed a variety of seeds instead of just one kind. The birds really love it and if they’re happy I’m happy. Seems sturdy, so far so good.

Maybe the one I received is defective?
The top is not removable as described so a wing screw from the bottom must be removed and then the bottom removed by turning it upside down, then it can be filled. Maybe the one we received is defective? But, being able to "easily fill it from the top" is not correct and that may matter to some as it does to me. It's a nice bird feeder and much better for the birds than any we've ever had even though they were much easier to fill than this one.

Brilliant bird feeder. Keeps the rain off and the rooks. Love that I can put sunflower seeds on one side and other seeds on the second side. Tray catches most of the mess but there still is some

Love this feeder. It’s easy to refill - the top canopy simply unscrews and lifts off. It’s also easy to clean with no fiddly bits for seed to get stuck in. I had two woodpeckers on it yesterday! They cling onto the tray around the bottom with their claws and can easily get the seed from that position. The other larger birds (crows, magpies etc) don’t seem to be able to do that, so it’s ideal for smaller birds. I put sunflower hearts in and yesterday, in addition to woodpeckers, I had blue tits, gold finches, wrens, robins and sparrows feeding from it. Delightful
