PROS- Our bed needed some extra cushion, so I found this. It made a big difference. Very comfortable. Nice and thick and heavy. Stays in place.THE CONS- Oh those feathers...They poke through the fabric like tiny little needles! To combat this, we've put a thick fleece blanket on top, then put the fitted sheet on to of that, essentially putting a layer between our skin and the poking feathers.But do be warned, the feathers come out and get everywhere! They get stuck in the blanket that we use as the barrier, so use a blanket that you don't have another use for...unless you want to pick out the feathers.

Lavish Home Down & Duck Feather 4 Inch Gusset Topper - Queen This is definitely such a great value! I was just about to buy the Pacific Coast feather bed until I saw this! I have previously owned several Pacific Coast feather beds and other brand feather mattresses! This feather bed is just as nice for a lot less! I saw many reviews where people were saying that the mattress goes flat and laughed my butt off! Of course it goes flat! Do you think it will permanently stay 4 inches thick? Because there are foam mattresses that can't even do that! For anyone that doesn't know, you will need to fluff your feather mattress before you hop into bed. I actually put a duvet cover on my feather mattresses and just lightly fluff it before getting into bed. It only takes about 5 seconds. The mattress does flatten when I get onto it, but I can still feel the comfort and padding underneath me. It feels like sleeping on a luxurious cloud. I've been meaning to get a feather mattress for months and my fiancé thought I was insane to want to spend that kind of money. I have rheumatoid arthritis and I told him that since he had never slept on a feather mattress he had no idea what he was talking about. Now, he agrees that the comfort of the feather mattress is well worth the money. He had previously purchased mattress toppers and says that none of them were even half as good as this feather mattress. This feather mattress is actually much better than most feather mattresses because as of yet, I have not had any feathers poke me. I read many reviews where people were complaining about the feathers and I laughed my butt off! I have had very expensive feather mattresses and have never had feathers not come out! In fact, this is the cheapest feather mattress I have ever bought and it is just as comfortable as others! I have only had it a week, but no feathers have come out so far. This is definitely worth the buy!

I really wanted to love this. It fluffed up really really nice & seems like it would be very comfortable. The 5 Seconds I laid on it it was great...however it smells very very bad. Literally it smells like dead ducks. I read other reviews where people complained about the smell and didn't think much about it because people seem to always be complaining but this is definitely worth complaining about. This was an issue that I couldnt get past unfortunately. It smells pretty gross

The media could not be loaded. It’s OKAY. It’s soft WITH SUPPORT. It’s not just super soft. It’s not one like ur sleeping on a cloud or pillows. U can almost feel the individual feathers too. I live in my RV full time & I had my own mattress It’s not the one that came with the RV. I removed that one before ever sleeping on it. I had my own mattress & took the one it came with out before ever sleeping on it. I was going to sell it. I then noticed my mattress had some stains on it even tho I had a cover on it since I had purchased it. It was abt 5yrs old. I then decided to put the original mattress back in here since it was brand new & sell my other one. Well it ended up being super hard. I didn’t want to have to ask my dad to help move my other back in tho bc it’s quite a feat to do so! I just decided to buy a topper. This helped but I thing I need another topper like with cotton filling to go with it.

The topper is comfortable first couple of nights. Then the feathers started poking through and sticking you while sleep. Topper feels and sounds like paper is inside when you rub hand across the squares when your press on it.

I am very happy with this purchase. I spent way too much time researching and comparing all of these that are similar on Amazon and went with this one based on price and how soon I'd get it. I love it. First off, came packaged nice vacuumed sealed. Open it up and it starts puffing up. Took a few hours to fully be up. I vigorously shook it and smacked it to help it distribute feathers and puff up. No smell, no feathers poking out. Just pure heaven. Does it make some noise, yes. It is down feathers. Is it a lot of noise or crunching and keeps me up at not, no not at all especially once you put your sheet over it. If you have never had a down comforter or topper and don't know what to expect, maybe you won't like this. Some people prefer the silent soft poof soft cotton. I don't. I love the sound of snow and sleeping in a deep pile of snow on this. It didn't make me sleep hot and so far no issue with going flat but when it does, that's just basic care with these. Just shake it and fluff it back up. Bottom line, if you know and like down/feather, this is amazing. I feel like a million bucks sleeping on it paired with a heavy weight down comforter and percale cotton sheets and a down pillow. No pic or video is gonna help make up your mind. I was there. Just gotta go for it and see for yourself. I highly recommend this. It just plops onto of you mattress and stays in place no prob with sheet over it. I am very happy.

The down feathers poke through fabric after awhile and feels like needles. No amount of fluffing fixes the problem.

It's like sleeping on a cloud. I've read how people strip their bed to fluff up/reposition it daily, but I just stick my hands under the fitted sheet to give it a good shake on either side of bed; easy to reposition this way, as well. Regardless of the need to refluff, it's definitely worth it. Bonus: the old mattress was hot on my back with my menopausal night sweats. This fluff is feathers/down & encased in cotton, so I 'flash' alot less now!!

Very disappointed with this, I've had it for less than a week and the duck feathers constantly poke through the bed sheets as I'm sleeping (very uncomfortable).

Before ordering this product many of you promised is caused sweating during sleeping. I am disappointed to report this has not happened. I hoped it would because the temperature here had been dropping to -40 Celsius and I am still waking up during the night - cold- because my blankets have come off. So…no sweating.Before I put a duvet cover over it, I found one feather one the floor. Okay…good…now I know it’s real. 😂My pain was so bad , often I would dream hip surgery was being performed on me. Now I am not dreaming of surgery without anesthesia. So that’s a relief.The only negative thing: and it is really a misconception I had about the product- I thought it was going to be like floating on clouds. Instead it’s like floating on feathers.Buttom line: it works.
