Quality Expansion Board
Nice quality board for raspberry Pi to add USB 2.0, gigabit Ethernet, HDMI (up to 4k 30fps), micro SD and more. Everything feels quality and secure, and functionality is perfect for what I've tested so far.

Effective Cooling Solution for the CM4
After putting the Waveshare Dedicated FAN-3007-B to the test on my Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4, it's clear that this little cooling fan is an excellent accessory. Installation was a breeze, thanks to the included thermal tapes which provided a secure and efficient thermal connection without the messiness of thermal paste. The fan operates quietly, which is a huge plus, especially when working in a noise-sensitive environment. Its adjustable speed feature enabled me to fine-tune the cooling based on the CM4's workload, ensuring optimal performance without unnecessary noise or power consumption. I've noticed a significant drop in operating temperatures under heavy usage, which translates to better stability and potentially extended hardware lifespan.

Nice board overall
This board is really nice for its functionality. I am happy with its IO and layout. One star is taken because its fan pwm making a high pitch noise. I tried a 3 pin fan and noise reduced a lot and changed to regular buck converter low frequency humming, which is much quieter. Otherwise I have no complaint.

Die Antenne hat meine Verbindungsprobleme gelöst!
Bei mir läuft auf einem Raspberry CM4 eine Home Assistant Installation. Da der Raspi in der Nähe des Routers montiert ist, war der Wlan Empfang kein Problem. Erst als ich BT-LE Pflanzensensoren koppeln wollte fingen die Probleme an. In der Nähe des Raspi wurden die Sensoren sofort erkannt und in HA eingerichtet. Als sie in den Blumentöpfen waren kamen keine bzw. sehr sporadisch Daten. Da das CM4 einen Anschluss für eine externe Antenne hat wurde diese bestellt. Nach Installation der Antenne und Aktivierung des Anschlusses in der config.txt (dtparam=ant2) waren alle 3 Sensoren sofort erreichbar und die Messdaten wurden zuverlässig übermittelt. Die Wlan Übertragungsrate hat sich auch noch etwas verbessert.

Gutes board und macht was es soll
Praktisch und einfach, ideal zum testen vom Compute Module 4. Punkt Abzug aus zwei gründen. 1) sehr dürftige und nicht vollständige Dokumentation. 2) Thermisch recht kritisch unter last wobei die nvme pcie 'platte' sehr heiss wird.
