Impressive!
This grow lamp seems too inexpensive to be of good quality, but as I needed something fast, I figured it would at least work for a while, until I found better. No need - the light works beautifully, and has not overheated even once. That had been my biggest concern, with a metal frame. I have been using it for 8-12 hours a day since I received it, and it has exceeded my expectations. As a disabled veteran with chronic pain, who doesn't want to become another casualty of the current opioid epidemic and the blundering incompetence of the government. They seem determined to make it worse, as they've systematically destroyed the careers of many pain management professionals, then made sweeping, draconian and unsubstantiated limitations on legal prescriptions, ensuring many face the brutal choice of buying illegal narcotics, or die from the pain they can no longer receive adequate, legal medication for. I am SO grateful that the DEA, in its overzealous actions taken to protect big pharma profits, brought kratom to my attention. They tried to quickly slap a ban on this great boon from nature, and because of the public backlash, had the exact opposite of their intended effect. Now, more people know about it, and are regaining control of their lives. As a vet, I always try my best to prepare for the worst, like the DEA winning the propaganda war, vilifying the most beneficial botanical on the planet, and eventually succeeding in getting the safest painkiller on earth banned. So, even though I have a brown thumb, and live in the desert, I am attempting to grow this natural wonder indoors, and this grow light has been working like a champ, giving me the time to learn how to make my backup plan thrive. It'll probably take years for the little plant to grow into a dependable source of pain relief, but hopefully, it'll take years for the DEA to regroup after their incredibly helpful blunder. Until then, kratom is still perfectly legal in most places, and fortunately, there are many people ready, willing and able to fight the combined forces of corruption, greed, and ignorance, trying so hard to kill off many disabled citizens, particularly veteran's. Don't believe It? With the stupidity ruling prescriptions from civilian offices, the VA has pledged to be even worse. Their new prescribing "guidelines" make the rest seem reasonable. If you're a veteran in chronic pain, I urge you to look into kratom, then get a little plant, and grow light like this one.

It actually works!!
I started gardening in 2016 so I'm a novice still learning my way. I started out buying nothing but roses, but decided to try some other shrubs this past year. I bought some hibiscus that have grown with little to no attention (just added water) but when the winter started to approach, I knew I needed to move them indoors because they can't handle Zone 8 cold winters. Less than a week indoors, it starts to droop and wilt pretty badly. Not like my Ixora, which I barely watered the previous winter and didn't have any type of light on it, and it was absolutely fine, though it didn't grow too much. Both the Ixora and Hibiscus are Full Sun plants, but I guess the Hibiscus needs it more. Anyway, I received the light above. Purchased a hook and a chain used for hanging baskets from Lowe's and I was good to go. The plant stop wilting and started growing. It had new growth and the leaves on top were bigger and thicker. I wasn't sure it was going to work. There are gro lights at the local Lowe's but the reviews were bad and the packaging read like it made plants "appear" healthier instead of saying it makes the plants healthier plus I would have to buy some type of lamp fixture that could shine the light down on my plants which was going to be more expensive than the chain and hook I purchased which were each less than $2. So I highly recommend this light. I will say that after a while, something appears on the leaves. Almost like dust has been sprinkled over them. I haven't figure out what that is but I'm still trying to determine how much light the needs and whether I can over do it. Hopefully this helps someone make a decision.

Not too sure about this light... Updated
Not sure about this product, at the moment. . . .- - - I had previously purchased a bulb (from another company), that was defective. So replaced it with this panel, thinking that a light with more of a spectrum would be better. So far, after using this *full spectrum* light panel, for about 2 weeks, I have noticed that my plants are starting to turn yellow near the bottom of the leave sets. . . .In my opinion, my plants dont seem to be getting a sufficiet amount of light.I havent changed my routine, of how I care for my plants (water, nutrients etc.).The only thing I have changed is the light source. . . . I keep this light about 6 inches from the top of the plants.I guess time will tell if this light is going to help or not... but at the moment, it is not looking very promising.--------------------------------------------------------------------------Update: 2-27-17I started off with 12 plants for my garden. . . All have died, except 1, and it's not looking well at all. . .--- In my initial review I stated that I had the light about 6 inches from the plants, when actually, it was more like 8 - 10 inches.Seeing the under leaves of the plants were getting yellow, I added a mild nutrient to the watering, and raised the light to over 12 inches, hoping this would help. . . . it did not. . . I was still thinking that they were not getting enough light, but hoped for the best.As of today, I have 1 plant that is still clinging to life... but I believe it is a hopeless gesture. . .I have never had such a problem growing seedlings. . . . This is my 1st time using an LED plant light, so that may have something to do with it. . . . for future plantings, I will use the regular grow lights & not LED's------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------UPDATE: April 28, 2017 Final Update for this product.....I'm not sure how this light would work for normal house plants, or how the experiences are with other users, but In my opinion--- this is a good light for Starting seeds. However, after several attempts to get my plants to actually Grow into viable plants, its not worth the price. My seedlings grow to about 3 inches, then start getting yelloow on the bottom leaves. . . .and slowly creaps up the stalk., as the rest of the leaves turn yellow & die. . . . I cannot get them to get past that point, no matter what distance I place the light from the plant.
