Jacobs Full Metal Double Sleeve DRILL CHUCK 13MM For Hitachi Makita Dewalt AEG

I purchased this chuck as a replacement for my Makita 18V BDF452 chuck that had all but frozen. Fits and works perfectly! The old chuck was a bit tricky to get off but there are numerous online videos to assist you with that. Highly recommend this chuck.

This fit my drill perfectly, and from what I’ve read will fit most 1/2 inch drills. There are many videos on line about how to replace a chuck. Most important is that the #12 torx head bolt accessible through the chuck opening is a left hand thread. It was easily removed using an impact driver. Once that is removed, most sites suggest chucking a large Allen in the chuck and striking it with a hammer. I found it easier to secure a large Allen head socket in the chuck and use my impact driver to remove the chuck. The chuck itself is held by right hand threads.This chuck cost about half of an OEM chuck, and except for the Jacobs name engraved in it appears identical to the original.

If your looking for a great drill chuck this is it! The ratching feature holds tight and is way better than non ratching chucks which can loosen with vibration. This is a great quality chuck from Jacobs. This is the only chuck I will use on all my drills.

Can’t go wrong with this one, it’s all steel unlike the makita plastic chuck you just broke. A little gap after installed but doesn’t bother me one bit, nice to have a chuck that can take the abuse of the tool it’s connected to. I almost went with the makita brand but I’m glad I did. This is definitely an upgrade. Oh yeah, it also grips bits waaaaay better than the original.
