Dyson966080-01 Dirt Cup, Clear/Gray Bin Assy DC59 Moorhead

Got this as a replacement bin for our dyson stick vacuum that we’ve had about 7 years now. The old bin got cracked (dropped it) and I was afraid we’d have to replace the full vacuum!This was the exact right fit and specs and has been working like a champ.

It was great to find one that fit perfectly on my small Dyson vacuum, and not as costly as other places.

This is a great fit for my Dyson 6 motorhead+ that I bought from Costco a couple of years ago. The quality looks premium and I could not tell the difference from the OEM one.

I received unit and went to install. Quality and fit of can itself is excellent, seals extremely well, and emptying mechanism is perfect, better than original. However, when you go to fit the wand or powered cleaning tool in... it stick out 3/4" and does not fit in to lock and connect.Some improvisational ingenuity required and you need the old canister to borrow its connector, as well as one set of strong thin nose pliers (only tool required). For the old can, reach inside its connector across the two plastic tabs with connector female holes, grab hard and pull it straight out - has about 8 inches of extra wire underneath, all good. Do same on the new one; a little harder because it has two extra square sides that stop the attach and is also more shallow anyway.Once both out, take note of which wire is on each side (if reversed, brush spins forward instead of backward and throws dirt forward as you vacuum). note that there is a snap flap on the side of the wires so insers one plier nose in and gently pry open. The two wires come right out. Use the old connector housing on the new wires, shallow side of the copper inserts towards you so flap can re-close easily. Now you have to carefully feed those extra 8 inches of wire into the space underneath (again with single open nose plier side) push connector back in and then snap it down. DONE. Works perfectly.3 stars for install if you can handle a pair of pliers, else likely a single star. May fit newer Dyson units better, but the old DC59 requires arts and crafts skillset.

Thankfully I found this and did not replace my Dyson. Thought the broken part meant it was done. But this and a new filter have brought it back to life

I received an original, sealed in a dyson branded box, part that worked perfectly with my v6 that had been dropped a few too many times.

I almost threw my Dyson animal away when I broke the cup! So glad I looked on Amazon and found this cup to replace the broken!!

This part does not fit Dyson DC59 model (as advertised). It cannot be connected to the wand or brushes.

Fit my DC72 like a glove. Exact replacement.

Fits the replacement wand I purchased from the same supplier but not the original Dyson attachments.
