Cheap lightweight material will not support 40 pounds very long before the sides pull through the mounting holes and the integrity of the shape is shot, then the lid no longer fits, Poorly designed and engineered from materials standpoint.

Quality Product
I had 2 of these for over 15 years and never had an issue except one of my Labs figured out how to work the lever. I had to drill a small hole to pin it in closed position. This price is more than double gun dog supply but product works great.
