Focus

I got this primarily for two songs that I had herd on Cinemix. Most of the songs are very good, though the singer tends to go a bit over the top at times, for my tastes, wailing and over extending her voice. That said, she has passion, and she exudes this in her work. I love Morricone's music even more, and if you like the Euro-Hollywood sound, you will enjoy this CD.

It was previously hard to find and here it is and in effect shape.

If you are a fan of Ennio's work, you will enjoy.Even if you don't understand anything but English, it is still beautiful music.I bought this specificly for one song, Your Love, but was not disappointed with the rest.

I like the music of Ennio Morricone and I like Fado, so what could be better than Morricone's music sung by Portugal's famous Dulce Pontes? I was not disappointed. She has a passionate voice which brings out the best of the composer. I loved this disc.

This came to my attention thru a search for music by Ennio Morricone. I was familiar with Ana Moura but Dulce Pontes is phenomenal - would love to see her in concert (as I did Ana Moura) should she ever visit the USA. If you enjoy Fado you'll love this!

As a fan of Ennio Morricone, then finding Dulce Pontes and her expressive vocal talent together on one CD is superb. Maybe not to everyone's taste, but I took a punt on the purchase and enjoy listening every time it comes on. Some of the tracks have lyrics for the first time I think. Most certainly some film themes on here make a totally new experience for me. I believe Pontes is Portuguese, certainly the Latinesque female vocal comes across splendidly and, that is what is magic about the entire CD. Try it, the price is good, excellent for driving the car to... !!

Heard her song with Andreas Bocelli and loved, but this not quite to my taste but fabulous singer

Beautiful romantic dramatic music, very well recorded, the best Dulce Pontes recording alongside 'Lagrimas ', both essential for lovers of great female vocals and modern fado. Wonderful arrangements of some of the best of Ennio Morricone's songs.
