Kirby Carpet Shampoo, 1 Gallon – Lavender Scent, Deep Cleaning Solution for Home & Pet Stains

I've used a Kirby shampooer for 40+ years and I only use their shampoo because it works and leaves the carpets and the room smelling fresh and clean. We recently had water in our basement that has indoor/outdoor carpeting. I bought this because I thought I did not have enough of the last gallon to complete the job. It turns out I did so I imagine this gallon will last the rest of my life! I highly recommend this brand. If I have spills, I spray a DIY solution before shampooing, turn the suds off while I go over and over the spot and it's always clean afterwards.

I'm not sure whats in the shampoo - but it gets stains out like magic.

I’ve had a Kirby for decades - Diamond G version, which has the cleaning attachment. I’ve been contemplating hiring a carpet cleaner for high traffic areas. I thought I’d give the Kirby a shot. I’ve probably used the cleaning feature only once a long time ago. The dry foam is an interesting concept. I think it worked the way it’s supposed to. It didn’t provide the deepest clean, but it definitely worked. Smells great! Pros: ease of use, smell, fast drying time. Cons: I had to stop and refill the tank about eight times throughout the process to clean a 250 sq foot area. It’s probably better suited for small, quick jobs. Not cheap, but good.

I'm not one to write a review on carpet shampoo (this is also my first review here, so bear with me)...however I am amazed at the quality of this product and of the performance of the Kirby system. I recently purchased my Kirby from an online auction, complete with all of the optional attachments (carpet shampooer, floor buffer, zipp brush, etc.) but wasn't too sure about how to operate the shampooer correctly. I asked a family member who used to distribute the Kirby to show me how to use the system. Our test area was my sister's family room rug, complete with a four month old soft drink stain from a 13 year old's sleep over. The Kirby shampoo was laid down on the rug, set to work in it's magic, and then was swept up into the collection tray. All I could say was...WOW!!! The Kirby system and shampoo pulled out several years of filth, not to mention that pesky soft drink stain. The carpet was left amazingly dry, and an hour later was vacuumed up to a beautiful fluff. My sister was amazed, and the "test area" soon turned into the entire room! The shampoo does not leave your carpets soaking wet, just slightly damp. It also has a refreshing but not pungent lavender scent. This quickly goes away with the foam pick up and drying. The price here on Amazon is a steal for the gallon container, and I am still very happy with the price paid for the system. I am a proud Kirby owner and will continue to purchase this shampoo!

We have own the same Kirby Gen5 for over 28 years. I love the ability to be convert my unit into a effecient shampooer. It was good to be able to be able get the same quality shampoo on line for a great price. Great smell throughout the home.
