Looking for a Snare Drum Sound?
I think this product is pretty good for people who are focused on improving snare drumming. The sound is really good if you put it under a stand. Buzz rolls sound really crisp and this pad feel very accurate to a marching snare drum. Practicing for concert snare drumming is fine too. The pad warns you to play with nylon tips but I've been using regular snare sticks and the pad seems fine like it has no long term effects.

Absolutely wonderful
Drum pad is great! Good sound and has great rebound, is a little loud but that’s not a big deal for me, amazing for the price compared to other pads which cost more than 100 and sounds the same

Packable drum practice pad
Appears to be sturdy and well built for my 12 yoa drumming prodigy \m/ . If he used it like he's supposed to (we keep nagging him), I'm sure the pad would talk back to us and say how wonderful it is to be practiced upon. Like that the pad has a nice rim to it too so kiddo can practice that rim-hitting thing which is so nice on the ears (wink).

great product
My son loves drumming and requested this for christmas. He has had a cheaper one before this and says this one is so much better. He is always drumming on it. Parents, keep in mind you can still hear the drumming lol it isn't as bad as using a real snare drum but can still be rather annoying haha.

Great practice pad
Bought this for my son who is the captain of his middle school drumline. He loves this pad, said it feels and sounds more like a real snare than his other practice pads. Once he brought his in to let others in the drumline demo it, they all got them too. It is heavier than other practice pads.

Good cheap pad for beginner, but...
I give this pad a 3 star review because of many reasons. The main reason it's not 5 stars is because of the faulty "snare" mechanism. I received the pad, knowing of the licensed patent, thinking it would be a cheaper version of the XymoX pad and thinking it would sound great. I was immediately let down when I noticed that three of the four lugs on back of the metal plate were stripped and would not tighten or loosen at all. I put the pad on my snare stand and played a little and noticed that the "snare" sound only came from the middle of the pad and it didn't really sound like a snare. Also there aren't enough beads in my pad because I'm almost 100% positive the XymoX pads don't have a rain stick effect when you move it around. I highly suggest getting this pad as a beginner unless you're willing to spend $200 on a XymoX pad and wait 10 weeks after ordering to receive it. If you're going to spend money on a patent, atleast make sure that it's not broken when the customer receives it.

Practice Makes Perfect
We have had this for over a month. My snare player loves it and has been using it to practice a few nights a week. Very happy with our purchase!
