Stand works well for alto sax
Great for holding alto saxophone. I love that it has a rubber strap to hold my sax in place when I am not using it for an entire day or so. The lower "U" brace is adjustable for alto and tenor. When I had it in the lower position (tenor), my sax was not stable BUT when I put it in the upper position (alto), it held my sax perfectly. It compacts down to about 4.75 inches high, 13 inches long, and 5.5 inches wide. Minus a star because it was not completely stable when I was handling my sax. When I tried putting my sax on it or tried taking it off, the main joint jiggled too much for my liking. It is the joint where the main upper arm connects to the main yellow brace. The lock pin is not enough to keep it from jiggling. When my sax is on the stand, the weight of my sax prevents that joint from jiggling and it stabilizes the stand. Oh almost forgot, stock image shows the center main brace in black; mine is yellow. Overall, I like the product.

Not impressed.
Not impressed. It arrived with the padding on the lower rest falling off. The plastic end caps on both rests easily come off the metal bar which is frustrating because on the upper rest, those plastic end caps are what the rubber attachment hooks on to in order to secure the sax in place. If they pop off, then the rubber attachment is useless. With an alto sax, the sax will flop back and forth, it's not overly secure. In order for the bell to rest properly on the upper rest, that rest would have to be bent further down into position. Overall pretty disappointing.

Fits both just fine.
This is a heavy duty stand. I’ve used it for both an alto and tenor. Fits both just fine.

It probably works better for an alto sax
The only problem is that I can't secure the strap around the bell of my tenor sax. It probably works better for an alto sax. That said, though, I am not worried about my sax falling out. It seems quite secure even without attaching the strap around the bell

Great product!
This stand is great! Folds nice and compact enough for me to put in my backpack. I just took it out on a gig for the first yesterday. It was perfect.
