I was leery about this purchase because of the cheap price, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of it, I used it right away to shuck 2 dozen oysters, no issues at all.

It's sturdy and reliable. The tip isn't sharp but thin enough to get into the oyster hinge. As long as you are using a cloth or towel to hold down the oyster while shucking with it, the shuck won't hurt you.

I bought these so I can shuck my own oysters. I did not have any prior experience with shucking oysters so it did take me a few minutes along with watching tutorials to open my first one. It worked well enough for me. I did have trouble opening some of the oysters but that could just be from my inexperience. This knife is not sharp on the edges so it’s good for someone who doesn’t want to accidentally injure themselves, but it you can still slice the oyster from the shell.

Works OK, very sturdy. I am disappointed that the edges of the "blade" are dull, I still end up using 2 knives....

I have a collection of oyster knives. This handle is my favorite style. The knife tip works well and held up to a bunch of shucking this past weekend, with no issues.

C’est juste le meilleur couteau à huîtres que j’ai jamais eu et j’en ouvre depuis 50 ans. La lame est rigide, non pointue et ne coupe pas donc peu de risques de se blesser. La petite courbure de l’extrémité facilite l’introduction. Le manche est gros et granuleux ce qui permet d’avoir du couple pour l’ouverture sans trop glisser. Je vais en commander un de plus car j’en offre à tous les amis qui l’ont essayé.
