Very sturdy, does a great job for Ham radio remote head unit.
I've purchased two of these for two vehicles and will probably order a third for another vehicle. This thing is very solid and does not bend too easily. It puts my radio remote head in easy reach without cluttering up my vehicle dash and blocking my view. It's flexible enough to (with a little effort) move it to where I want it, without bending or moving every time I hit a bump. Solid piece of gear. I have two different mobile radios. I have the vehicle set up so that I can move either radio to either vehicle pretty easily. Mounting the main radio unit is the hard part. With this gooseneck switching the heads is easy, as is removing the head to hide or take with you.

Will be buying another
Easy install, had to do some modification because of the way my front seats are mounted, riveted not bolted. Drilled a hole in the seat slide rail and the mount works perfectly.

Great alternative to a RAM Mount
My Challenger has a RAM Mount that was installed by a radio dealer. For my Ram I chose to go with a Kenwood vs. Motorola because my fire chief has the programing software, (and the radio dealer never got my Motorola programed correctly) I went to order the RAM mount, and holy shipping, I'm talking $50. Yeah not spending more money on shipping than the actual parts. My husband found this mount on line somewhere as an image but couldn't find the actual store. So where did I go, Amazon of Course! It was here in time for my husband's weekend project of light package and radio install. I'm talking seats were out of my truck. My only complaint is it vibrates a bit more than the RAM Mount because it's flexible where the RAM is a solid rod, and being this a Ram 2500 it's a rougher ride than the challenger. (I don't think I can convince hubby to swap the mounts though, because there was a reason the Challenger got sent out :)

Great mount!
I use mine in the car and it takes a beating every day. Still holding strong and have had no problems so far.

The perfect mount!
Used this mount to support my FTM-400XDR controller. Instead of screws I used heavy duty velcro for easy removal of head. Perfect mount for my application. I highly recommend. Can be used for other applications with a little imagination. Will purchase another soon for the wife truck to support Yaesu HF radio.

Not easy to install
Needed plate washers (not provided) to provide proper clearance for my Icom 2730A. Not a 5 minute job to install like it should have been.Didn't get value for the $ spent.

Functions very well except for the Express Plate
I needed to install an amateur radio in my second vehicle with very short notice. This 22" mount seemed to be the most logical choice for a quick install and it works well. I had contemplated purchasing the longer 28" mount because it was to be installed in a large SUV. I'm glad I chose the 22" model because I think the longer 28" model would have resulted in the radio head shaking too much while driving. This 22" model shakes around a little bit, but it's tolerable. The only gripe I have is with the included EXP-1 Express Plate. The EXP-1 fits onto the T mount very tightly and once it finally pops onto the mount it cannot be removed unless it's pried off with a screwdriver. The plastic where the hole is molded is very brittle and it took some patience to pry it away from the T mount without cracking it. Once removed, the opening in the plate had to be filed slightly to allow a proper fit. A new part should not have to be modified to fit properly and for this reason I gave the item a 4 star overall rating.
