This is just what I was looking for! When it collapses, it is pretty flat and fits in small spaces. I needed a laundry basket to carry around my house to pick up clothing from hampers in different rooms, but don't have a space to store a non collapsible one. The reason I only gave it four stars is because it has a couple of 'flaws' that I think could be improved upon, especially for the price. However, I still think its a pretty awesome product. The first is that it takes a while to get the corners to collapse correctly. I think this may 'loosen up' a bit with use, but it does take a little time to get it collapsed the right way....along with that is the fact that sometimes it will try to collapse if you are carrying it and bump in to something. Not sure how that could be fixed, but it takes some getting used to. The last thing is something that bothers me. Not sure other users would find it bothersome, but the way I use it this has come in to play. I have to carry the basket with one of the handles basically touching my stomach because I have walk through baby gates in my house. I wish that this basket had comfy handles on all four sides to make it easier on the hands. Not a major flaw, but something that would make it better for me. Again, overall, I think this basket is pretty awesome. If you lived in a small apartment or even a travel trailer, this would be a really great laundry tool.

The attached photo shows two things:1. For a very small load, the basket does not have to be fully expanded.2. When you expand (or collapse) it as shown in the photo, and turn it upside down, it slides very easily under a bed for storage.

i returned this product... it collapses when its filled with laundry and the side plastic cracked immediately after using it

I was very hesitant when I bought this laundry basket, but I am so glad I did. I love this laundry basket. I really thought it would collapsed as soon as I put something in it, but it is very sturdy when opened and closes easily for storage. Works great in my small laundry area where I don't have a lot of storage space.

Biggest design flaw: the handles. The soft rubber part is on top of where you grip, when you are holding it, and not underneath where your hand actually goes. I don't understand why they didn't make it smooth and rubber all the way around, but where your hand goes on the handle it's this uncomfortable weird thing. Also, when I received mine it had weird grease stains on it and took a while to clean it out. The grease was inside of the plastic it was wrapped in, so it was a bit weird and not what I expect with a new product.

Pros: Folds down to fit in small spaces.Cons: Difficult to fold up properly. The sides feel flimsy, and not what I expected. For reference I have the Karibou folding infant tub which is a similar concept, but that both easily folds up and remains stiff and sturdy when expanded. Any weight put on this laundry basket's edge causes it to droop and fold in on itself. If you have little ones who like to grab the sides of the basket or climb on it, forget it. Due to the poor quality I can already see parts of the folding rubbery material look like they are going to split. Disappointing.

Love that it collapses to an easily stored size!! It took a bit of effort to get it to compress in and pull out at first, but once you get your method down it is great! Exactly what I needed and stores beside the laundry instead of on it!!

Product is flimsy. Granted it collapses, but the material that collapses is not very good quality and therefore it doesn't stay up right when fully extended. Size was smaller than expected. Later I saw 2 @Costco for the price of one of these. I don't like writting bad reviews, but for the price, I hoped for a better product. The pics are the basket fully extended but as u can see it doesn't fully open and stay upright. It collapses half way when carried. The other picture is for comparison on size.
