The first one was delivered broken. After a swift return, I received a new one. At first I could not figure out how to make it move. You have to shake it a few times to make tiny bubbles. This is what allows the sand to transition from air to water. If you have one solid big bubble nothing is going to happen.

Absolutely love my sand art sandscape, I had one back in the day and I'm loving it, it brings back great memories. I love watching it make different designs, its so mesmerizing.

I played with a more expensive version in a store and it was more impressive than this one. This one dumps the sand too quickly most of the time. That means it doesn’t make the impressive peaks that look like mountains. Instead it’s like rolling hills. The colors are nice though.

Really pretty sand flow. Goes nice and slow. Good decor piece.

It doesn’t work, I bought it for my granddaughter for Christmas.

You can put the frame in its included stand or you can hold and tilt it around and make the sand flow the way you want. There is a little bit of gold glitter among the various shades of blue sand that really catches your eye as you watch the flow of sand. You can gently shake the frame a bit and break up the bubbles of air to change the flow of sand, especially if it has been sitting for a bit and there is just one big bubble. The glass feels fairly thick and sturdy which makes the piece quite heavy for the size. The holder is plastic but feels like it will support the frame safely. It's kind of meditative and calming just watching the sand gently fall.

This large sand art / sandscape is an enjoyable way to pass a few minutes of time while your mind wanders in a relaxing sort of way. We have a square one also but prefer the round shape because it can be turned 360 degrees, unlike the 4 sided square. The colored sand does interesting things each time it is rotated. The stand is a good thing also, letting this become a decorative item.
