The VIPER MIG180 is a new inverter-based portable MIG welding machine with added ARC function. The MIG function allows you to weld with both Gas Shielded and Gas-less wire applications. Easy step-less adjustment of voltage and wire feed make for easy setting of welding parameters giving excellent welding results. Wire Inch gives easy feeding of the wire during set up without gas wastage and the Burn Back adjustment leaves the wire out ready for the next weld. ARC welding capability delivers easy electrode welding with high quality results, including cast Iron and stainless. Being dual Voltage gives great versatility. Ideal for DIY and home workshop. Designed and built to our specifications. A real little workhorse at a very competitive price!

Buy it, it is AMAZING
Right off the bat, I saw the quality in the picture on this welder. It was either this, or the Hobart 140. Same prices, but Hobart is "American made" with a 200% American increase. This welder is a Miller in China, that is rebranded under an American name. It's honestly too beautiful to use. I'm just using flux core on 110V right now, and it's doing an amazing job. I can't wait to see how it does on 220V. I'll keep you guys postedEDIT: 12/5/17SO. I have now bought a Argon/co2 mix. This welder is INSANE. Ive gone from welding 18ga steel to 1/4 inch using a 240 outlet. It works so great. At first, from going to flux to gas. I forgot to make the polarity normal again. WHOOPS. But still beautiful welds. And after I switched it to how it should be..... Yeah even better. Just when i thought it couldn't get better! HA!

Quality of weld
OK, this is the first review I've done. But I fell like it needed to be done.Out of the box it was easy to assemble. I have been welding professionally for over 25 years and have used a lot of machines. Both gas powered and plug in, field use and in a shop environment.Pros:can use both large and small rolls of wire.can arc and migequipped to use a spool gun for aluminum weldinglight weightcan reverse polarity easilyno preset amp settingsburn back setting is really nicecons:getting the nozzle off to change tips is kind of a paintension handle for the wire spool loosens on its ownover all this is a very good mig welder. I would recommend this welder to anyone looking for a one

... expected for the stick option and the Mig runs great. I wanted a inexpensive welder at the house ...
So far it is a impressive little welder the leads are heavier than I expected for the stick option and the Mig runs great.I wanted a inexpensive welder at the house to do small projects with.So far all I have used it on is 110. it will weld 7018 3/32 good off a 50' extension cord it does not like a 1/8 rod on the same set up. And the mig runs .030 wire very good with a 75/25 gas mix. Overall I'm impressed with this machine so far. I've not had very long but for the price it seems a good deal to me. I have over 15 years experience welding, I hope this helps.

Vipermig 180
Vipermig welds fantastic both mig and stick. 1/8" 7018 burns nice and clean, no sticking. I've been a proud owner of a p170 stick/tig for quite sometime now. Done tons of different projects, from building trailers to tractor hitch repairs. It has never let me down, no down time even after burning 5 pounds of sticks. Decided with the fastastic quality the p170 has been. Vipermig was going to be just as good and it is, if not better. Most of my older welders are lincoln buzz box and everlast. Jasic/razorweld is the one I'll stick with from now on.Update.. Still using vipermig.. and even done some dc aluminum welding on 100% helium gas. So far my favorite wire on this machine is blue demon wire for everything. Always very clean and smooth welds.

First thoughts upon arrival.
While I haven't used the machine yet I'm blowing away by the beauty of the machine. No doubt it's going to be a good machine. Every review and comment I've read has done nothing but praise the ViperMig. I am excited and quite can't wait to use it.

Viper 180 MIG Welder
I was surprised when I plugged in the welder and started loading the flux cored .030 wire. There was no sticker for initial settings of voltage and wire speed. I had been watching 'weldingtricksandtips' on YouTube, so I printed out his spreadsheet and set up for welding 16 gauge mild steel. Eventually, I got it set so I could run a one inch bead that looked pretty nice and had good penetration. During registration of the MIG welder, I sent a message to RazorWeld and got a rapid response. I was sent the missing 'suggested settings' sticker. Outstanding support by RazorWeld!I'm currently using Lincoln .030 flux core wire with 110V. I'm welding 16 gauge mild steel square tubing. The welder works great on 16 gauge. Right now I don't have thinner metal to test the welder at lower settings. I have welded 1/8 inch 1 inch square tubing. That is probably the thickest I will weld using 110V. 1/8 inch steel really needs to be 'V'd and use multiple passes to get great penetration; or use 220V.I'm not a great welder and it has been 50 years since I did a lot of arc welding. I did build farm implements (wagon running gear, dirt mover, tractor pull sled, Bush Hog, etc.) in Vo-Ag class during High School using various 180-230 Amp AC arc welders. The Viper 180 is absolutely great for spot welding metal together for initial layout (gate fabrication, in my case). I am very pleased with the Viper 180 and recommend it to anyone considering a 110/220 inverter MIG welder.Gamble Garage is offering a quality product and an affordable price.

Not great
Everyone here seems to be raving about his machine, I have been welding for about 8 years and let me tell you this machine works but it is not used friendly. The lack of a digital display is what does it for me, the knobs are inaccurate and hard to read. I had trouble welding 3/16 steel angle with this machine. If you weld for a living, do yourself a favor and buy a nicer unit.
