First, I am beyond grateful that I found this product, let me tell you why…I have a ragdoll cat with an ongoing digestive issue and was diagnosed with Pancreatitis for a number of years. That being said, my husband and I spent $$$$ for imaging, bloodwork, testing this that and the other and all sorts of medication and/or “special foods” that just didn’t work for our very stressed and sick fur baby. One morning, I woke up and found my poor fur baby drooling, not responding, just staring at nothing… She threw up, she had blood in her stool, she looked like she was dying!!! We quickly drove back to the vet who in turn did more testing and directed us to see a specialist. Another ultra sound was done and as we waited for the results, I cried so much… When the vet finally came in, we were told it didn’t look good and my fur baby may not make it passed the weekend! I was devastated.. But after the initial crying and depression etc, my strong determination and a boat load of prayers to find an answer triggered a frenzy of extreme research! My husband would have to remind me to sleep, that’s how determined I was to find a solution to my fur baby’s health issue. I wasn’t going to let her die without a fight! I actually looked at her and said “if you fight with me, I will fight with you” and she started to purr soooo loud!!! That gave me a glimmer of hope. Everything I read pointed me towards food quality and ingredients. Did you guys know that quite a few kitties are allergic or intolerant of chicken and/or fish?!?! I didn’t know this fact! This started me on a no chicken cat food journey that took a long time since most commercial cat foods say “Turkey” but if you read the ingredients, it will say “chicken broth” or “Chicken liver” or something chicken. I was frustrated since what I needed to find didn’t seem to exist. Then it happened, a search on Amazon landed me this brand “The Honest Kitchen”, I was skeptical but decided to click on the link anyway since I was still on a search for chicken free food. So I read and read, I looked up the website, looked at other reviews and YES! I found a chicken free Turkey with gravy!!! Oh the joy! But we’re not out of the woods yet, will my picky fur baby like this food and will it actually help her health? I was beyond words when she approached, sniffed slowly and started to eat without medication. I was in tears, she was eating!!! Next, will she have good digestion… I was worried, but after two days, she used the litter-box and there it was, formed stool!!! I was so happy it felt like Christmas LOL. This food and health journey was definitely exhausting and expensive. I donated the food that didn’t work for my fur baby. I felt truly blessed and grateful I found this wonderful product. The Honest Kitchen has honest ingredients that gave my fur baby her health back. FYI, my fur baby had only turned nine years old when I was told she was not going to make it passed the weekend… Last July 1st, my fur baby celebrated her 13th Birthday thanks to this food. I cannot stress it enough, keep looking for answers, your fur babies are worth it! I hope this long story/review helps someone out there in some form or another. I have a finicky cat. She is turning two years old and I am still trying to find a wet cat food that she will eat. Honest Kitchen has really healthy ingredients so we tried it. It was one of the wet cat food she would lick more than once before she walked away. She is a grazer, not a eat it all up at one sitting. The bone broth helps with a lot of different body parts and will help her finish growing up. She was only 2.2 ounces at birth. At her last Vet visit she had gotten up to 7.6 pounds. No one thought she would make it and she was not the runt, but she did place second and she is still with me. It takes her about 12 hours to eat the 2 table spoons along with her dry food Guardian 8. She still seems to sleep a lot, but she climbs a whole lot also. Lots of energy. My Vet said she is very healthy now she is getting grown up.

I thought my 2 fur creatures would love this, but they didn’t go for it with their normal gusto. I love the ingredients,didn’t have any of my no no’s as far as ingredients. It doesn’t have a strong smell, but I am not a cat. Obviously. They didn’t care for it either because they normally are in a race to get to the feeding table. I had to mix I with some freeze dried food they get as treats for them to eat it. And also for me the container is inconvenient hard to open and difficult to get all the food out, you need a rubber scraper and it’s just not a good design.But I do believe this is a healthy food, not containing any crap found in most foods.

My cats love this and quality ingredients

The smell is atrocious. I have a tough stomach, but these had me gagging upon opening. That’s another thing they are really difficult to open. I finally got to the point I was just cutting the entire top off instead of trying to open like the instructions say. My cats thoroughly enjoyed this food though. That’s pretty much the only good thing I have to say about it.

Our holistic vet recommended this brand. The ingredient quality is great but something is off with the taste. My cat doesn’t like it at all. He barely eats with toppings on it. I wish they improved the taste!

I’ve been going through a finicky cat stage and have ordered a few different wet foods. My cats do like the taste, however there is NO good way to get the food out of the container. Not only opening it, but getting the food out of the carton. It just ends up a disgusting mess for me. It’s like opening the school milk cartons, but way worse.

The texture is primarily liquid but if your kitty enjoys gravy then this should be a winner

My normally picky-eating cats turn into insatiable biblical swine for this food.Have never seen cats so consistently frenzied over a single brand; normally they’d tire of the repetitious feedings.High quality ingredients. Portion sizes small for the price, but I’ll take it over byproduct-laden slop.

I have been in search of a soupy/gravy like consistency wet cat food for my 10 years of "dry kibble" only cat. She LOVES this food - I have tried about 8 different kinds, various types, so was relieved to FINALLY have a healthy wet food option that miss picky eats and clearly enjoys... thank you!!

My cats are semi picky eaters and love this!! They lick the bowl clean and the boxes have so much food in them that I’m able to just divy the portions up between 2-3 cats.I’ve been trying to find a healthy wet food I feel good about feeding them and have tried multiple brands which they either didn’t finish or just plain didn’t like. Apparently my cats need flavor and these chonkers eat better than I do lol highly recommend this stuff!

1st off, this has lots of ingredients that are not good for cats to eat very often. And unless you have multiple cats, this is WAY too much for one. Size of package would be better suited for dogs than cats. It is a pain to open and dish up. And only one of our cats eats it and he rarely ever finishes it even when I only give him one third of the box. The other cat might eat a little now and then but doesn't really like it.And the last package we received reeked of essential oils. Like something else was stored near it. EOs are far too strong for cats to have exposure to even passively. It was shipped in a separate box so whatever contaminated it was likely due to storing it somewhere with something really strong scented. Outside of package did not have that smell. So it seems clear it occurred before shipping.Buyer beware!We will not be buying this again.I only gave it 2 stars because sometimes our cats enjoyed it. But I seriously regret having ever bought it.

My cat did not like this texture. She would eat the pate but this is more like gravy. She won’t touch it!!

I purchased because it had great reviews for nutrition wise. My cats refuse to eat pate. They prefer pieces and chunks in their food in gravy or broth. I purchased because it seemed like that’s what it was. But it’s more like mush. It’s basically just ground up pate in broth.

My 11 year old cat had pretty much quit eating dry food. I tried multiple can foods and even rotisserie chicken to try to get him to eat. Found Honest Kitchen in a local pet store and gave it a try. He love this food..especially because it is more liquid than others! His favorite are chicken and turkey with the bone gravy. Thank you for providing a food he loves!
