Both my wife and I cook... and then we share our food with family and friends. We do use disposable containers. And typically we get them from our local retail grocery that also sells in bulk to food service/restaurants. They do carry various size aluminum food containers. And all of them are pretty decent quality. What attracted me to trying this container lid combo was the size, the price, quick delivery and of course, cost per unit. While the price was inviting, the quality just wasn't there.These aluminum pans and lids are about as thin as possible while still holding their form and your food. Extremely light weight, and most probably a 'one-use and toss' quality, I wouldn't recommend them. Using a dial-caliper to measure the material thickness, I found that the aluminum is about 6.5 mils (0.0065" thick). And the plastic covers are about 2.0 mils (0.002" thick). That is very thin for a food container. Yes, you'll be able to do leftovers for whomever. But I wouldn't count on re-using these after the first or second resealing. The crimping and bending while closing the aluminum can't be done too many times. It's just too thin. And the lids are so thin that they really can't suffer stacking of heavier food items.While they are OK for one-time, maybe resealing twice, I'd not try using them more than that. My recommendation would be to lower your expectations. They do work, as the design is the same as other more costly but higher gage/thickness containers. And the unit price is low. But if you want durability, I'd recommend looking for a heavier gage aluminum container and paying a bit more.

It was a buffet with a lot of food. I was very happy when the gathering was over and told everyone that the containers w/covers at beginning of the table are there for everyone to take food home. It was the best thing I tried and will now do every time. Guests commented what a great idea.

We love these but they are a bit flimsy.

The gauge on these containers is VERY thin. I sold these types of containers for almost 20 years. The manufacturers have really downgauged the product.

The clear lids make the finished product more petty.

I now cook for 4 or more rather than 2. Pack up either freezing meals ahead or in refrigerator for a few days later or to send home with my single adults friend my adulting offspring. It is so nice to have maybe a few TV style homemade meals or sides to bake 30-45 minutes at 350-400 to cook once, feed twice which have been a resounding well received. Helps me be a better more resourceful even efficient cook as we love the concept of our home.
