They are Just speakers that hang over your ears
The quality of the product is good,. It is well built, well packaged and works well (as a speaker). Where i was disappointed was the tech itself. Because it reads Bone Conductive Technology, i was under the impression that is wear the sound goes. It doesn't though, the product is essentially two speakers that sit on your face and vibrate a lot. the volume and quality of the sound doesn't change when resting on your cheek bone so the frame is essentially there to hold the speakers close to your ears. The sound is also far from private, because you are wearing speakers close to your ears as opposed to in/on them with headphones, it means anyone in close proximity can also hear the music.

Cool bonephones for the active sportsman!
The appearance on opening the package immediately inspires confidence that one Is getting a quality item. The smart box packaging is stylish and up-market, much along the lines of Apple equipment. But hey, why not have a solid lid to the box to complete the smart presentation and avoid putting another piece of plastic into the world? The headphone itself is also a very cool looking piece of kit with a quality feel about it, with no loose wires to wear out with constant bending, something that earlier Tayogo equipment suffered from. The instruction manual is very small but perfectly adequate, with the English language version running to only 6 pages of clear instructions in good English. When wearing the headphone, it is lightweight and comfortable, with the bone conduction pads sitting easily just in front of the ears. The power and volume controls are very small and slightly fiddly to use but since there are only three buttons, can be identified by touch. The play/pause/call receive control is on the left earpiece and is much larger and really very convenient to touch on and off. Nice design Tayogo!I have previously owned a Tayogo underwater mp3 player that delivers the sound via bone conduction. That relied on the sound conductivity of water to work and I was sceptical that the S2 would perform as well in air, without water to conduct the sound. However, my doubts were groundless as the S2 delivers decent quality sound at very acceptable volume levels. The system also gives voice prompts for ‘Power On’ and ‘Power Off’ and also tells you when the Bluetooth is connected and to which device. That is a helpful feature. Now to the applications for the use of the S2. The headphone is very stable on the head so could be used successfully when walking, running, fishing or other fairly solitary outdoor sports. It is claimed to be sweatproof but not waterproof, so water sports are clearly not applicable. It could be used in the gym successfully but, and this is a big ‘but’, when playing at even moderate volume levels, there is a lot of sound spill over into the outside world. This is far more noticeable than with in-ear headphones. I think that fellow gym users would get justifiably quite irritated with an S2 user on the next piece of equipment.I am a regular leisure cyclist but have always frowned on bike riders who wear earphones whilst riding. The great safety advantage that a cyclist has over vehicle drivers is that one can hear other traffic approaching from all directions. Wearing earphones effectively denies one of this advantage. However, I thought, with bone conduction, the ears are not blocked, and one should be able to hear traffic as normal, so I took my new S2 for a bike ride. It was not a success as, to compete with the natural wind noise when cycling at say, 15-20mph, one has to set the volume level towards its maximum. Therefore, although one’s ears are open to receive traffic sounds, the music volume effectively masks traffic noises and loses the safety advantage that a cyclist should enjoy. Moreover, at high volume settings, the bone conduction pads can be felt vibrating against one’s temples, which I found slightly ticklish and distracting. I won’t be taking the S2 out on the road again. Those interested in the Tayogo S2 should be aware that this is simply a set of ‘bonephones’ and not an mp3 player. No data is stored in the S2 but it will play from any Bluetooth capable device. In sum, the Tayogo S2 is a smart, well-designed accessory that certainly has its place in several sports environments. The build standard feels good and so I hope it should have a decent operating lifespan. It produces good sound quality and volume levels. It is not, however, suitable for use with other people around who might not appreciate your choice of music.

Fonctionne bien

Superb 5-Stars Bone Conduction Headphones. Excellent Value!
I came across these Bone Conduction Headphones purely by chance. I was very sceptical of the quality & even if they would work properly. The design of these headphones are almost an identical copy to the genuine set I already have. However I decided to try them out, with very low expectations. Well I am absolutely blown away! Ok the packaging is basic, limited instructions & made from a lower quality materials - but overall reasonably well made. Most important point is how well they work. I was completely blow away how brilliant they are. They are superb. The sound quality is perhaps lower than the genuine set, but the difference is very small, and only becomes noticeable at volume level above 75%. The best part is the price & the excellent value for money. At £25.59 means they are just under 8 times cheaper than the branded version. Now only time will tell how well they work & how long they last? What more can I say? Superb & 5-Stars!

Decent set of first bone conducting headphones (good fit and sound)
These are my first bone conducting headphones. I wanted headphones that didn't go inside the ear, as I've never found any that fit comfortably and didn't move. Regular over-ear headphones were on my mind but I opted to try these, as they're still affordable when it comes to bone conducting headphones, and I liked the idea of being able to hear traffic when cycling and maybe even use them to fall asleep with, as I wear earplugs at night.I've used them for about a week now, hear my first impressions:Comfort: They don't feel uncomfortable which is what I worried about a bit initially, neither do they move - i.e. if they move, it doesn't change the sound at all, which is really nice. I tried to fall asleep with them (listening to soundwaves, whilst wearing earplugs) but that didn't really work comfort-wise. Probably the same for any other bone conducting headphones too, unless buying sleep-specific ones.Fit: I feel like the back piece connecting the two sides/headband is a bit big (photo attached). So when I put on a hat, for example, it pushes it down and therefore moves the two pieces (demonstrated in the attached photos). Fortunately this doesn't really change the sound or the comfort, but it feels a bit awkward. It also makes it hard for a hat to feel 'snug' so my head seems to be a bit colder when out and about. Can be worn with glasses even if it feels a bit 'much' at first (photo attached).Practicalities: What bothers me is the small buttons to change song. Impossible when wearing gloves, and a bit fiddly without. (See photo)Sound: If you're listening to a podcast/audio book at full volume cycling next to noisy traffic, it can be a bit hard to hear every single word. To be expected I guess, since these type of headphones are not noise cancelling. In general, the sound is good though, even if I feel like I need to turn up the volume much more than I would with regular headphones. What I find the most fascinating/what shows that they are "bone conducting" is when you put in earplugs. You can place the headphone pieces on your cheekbones or even your jaw and suddenly you can hear sound!Storage: Sadly there's no perfect way of storing them. They don't come in a "travel case" or anything, so if I want to take them with me without wearing them I'm not quite sure where to put them :'DConclusion: For the price they're perfect if you're curious about bone conducting headphones. They fit well and don't move when exercising (I've tested them both jogging and cycling), and are probably no more/less comfortable than other bone conducting headphones. I can't speak for quality/how long they last as I've not owned them for long.
