The One Minute Manager has a match
Ok, business guy writes fiction novel as self-help. It took me two days to decide if it would be worth investing my time. Honestly not too many books can pull off teaching us through story, but to my surprise this one did. Right up there with The One Minute Manager and Alchemist for me.

Great storytelling with a touching narrative....
I love great stories, business books, but not too crazy about self help books. 90 Days to Life delivered in all three areas. The story is killer good, the business advice is amazing and I’m even implementing some of the self-help ideas. If only the top management at Kodak had this book available to them back then.

Informative and Thought Provoking - must have for every leader
Thoroughly enjoyed reading Ruble Chandy’s 90 days to life. While reading through this book I could immediately see techniques that I could readily apply to my professional and personal life. The book is filled with nuggets of wisdom that can help business and team leaders succeed. All of Arjun’s anecdotes bring the underlying message to life in a simple and yet profound fashion. “ Always Be Caring” as the key to persuasion is a paradigm shift. Arjun”s advice on task management “ Can it be done in 3 minutes then do it now” and “ Can it be done by others then delegate” is something I will apply right away. As a leader responsible for products that bring in hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue, I am always looking for ways to keep innovating and keep the team motivated. Here again there is a lot to learn from Arjun’s advice on Leaders, managers and artists. Finally Ruble through this book provides us insights into the philosophical aspects of entrepreneurship and leadership. “Money can’t make you happy but money can buy profound experiences and profound experiences can add to your happiness “ is a thought provoking statement by Ruble/Arjun. Throughout the book Ruble masterfully treads between the physical and meta-physical, spiritual and secular dimensions of being successful in your business. He brings in concepts of faith, grace, forgiveness and giving and their impact to being a successful entrepreneur in ways I have not seen done before. All in all this is a must read for anyone who wants to succeed in their professional life and reach their potential- hats off to Ruble Chandy and looking forward to seeing whose life Arjun impacts next !

We all need an Ajrun in life, but...
The book contains a bundle of good advise to reach success and it does so through an unusual narrative, or business fiction. If you are a person whose success is defined by the very happy, movie like, endings this book is for you. However, I have a problem with how success is defined. What if I cannot breathe well, and that is one of the things I have to live with? And, I don't have an Ajrun, how is my success and happiness defined? Was Van Gogh successful or not? In my opinion he was, very successful, doing what he did, with the passion he did. He did not live the happiest life, because of his unfortunate conditions, but, painted the most amazing images for us, Beethoven did so also, in the most miserable state, composed the most beautiful music. I wonder if they had their names written up there in the history of art and music if they just became millionaires, with a nice house, had a family and children, and were a standard successful person, following the marketing business model. That is why I think the success has to be redefined. Everything is relative. I wish I had an Ajrun, who has the answer to everything, but it is not that simple...

A Modern Parable with Powerful Morals
A friend had recommended 90 Days to Life for me, as I'd been going through a break up and a few rough passages right before COVID. She had read the book, and said that everyone, not just those going through hard times, should read this book, so I decided, why not? This book was a shock of cold water for me in the most refreshing way. I was caught off guard by how closely I related to the protagonist, both on a conscious and subconscious level, and how we suffered from many of the same insecurities and sources of pain. The plot follows her path through rediscovering a love for life, and for every small detail of the moment through a generous guide who steps in at just the right moment. Without giving too much away, this book has helped me rediscover my own joy and contentment in the moment, and with the world around me despite what might apparently be going wrong. For anyone going through a rough period, or finding themselves at the end of one or multiple ropes, I would definitely give this title MAJOR consideration!
