Archway Pfeffernusse Holiday Cookies 6 Pack 6 Oz Each

the cookies were good...however, these were NOT the Christmas cookies Archway sells during the holidays. There were VERY FEW cookies in the bag and the bags themselves were much smaller that the original grocery store Pfeffernuss by Archways.

My husband loves these cookies and looks for them in our local grocery store every year. He couldn't find them, so I ordered them. He was thrilled when they arrived and has been steadily snacking on them since they arrived! They are a little pricey, but what the heck, they're only available around Christmas.

I have zero complaints regarding the business I purchased these cookies from, but of course I considered them WAY over priced. Archway does not provide the Grocers in my area with enough stock through the holidays. It is usually a little standup display that sells out very fast and its not refilled. Because these cookies are my mothers most favorite cookie I bought them for her regardless of prices. Grocer, $5.99, Online over $9.00.

These cookies really hit the spot for my love of anise flavor. I think that is the taste in these. Last year 2019, I put a package of them in my freezer, and when I removed them 6-8 months later (after thawing) to my delight everything about them was as if I had just purchased them from the store !!

Every year at Christmas we buy Pfeffernusse cookies. This year our usual provider did not have any. We tried two other brands for the first time. One of them was not very good. But the Archway cookies were excellent.

I loved these cookies and they were very well received as gifts. I just wish they were a little less expensive but I guess quality costs more. Would buy again.

These are my favorite Christmas cookie. They have the right amount of spiciness, softness, and sweetness. I never know if I am going to find them locally. They came quickly and are perfect. I love Archway's the best of the brands although the powdered sugar makes them a "liars cookie." That is, you can't say you didn't have one because you probably dropped some of the powdered sugar on your clothes.

Ordered 6 boxes of cookies for the ridiculous amount of $45.00 and only received one box! Buyer beware of "bait and switch"!
