Vid attached. Worth every penny (Tampa, FL here)
I've lived in FL all my life, and the mosquito is our state bird. I was about to order yet ANOTHER expensive batch of bug spray, mosquito coils, citronella candles, bug-repelling inscense (easily $80 total, and hardly effective.) Ordered this instead and could NOT be happier! Works perfectly, and is actually aesthetically pleasing too. And don't have to worry about poisons around my dogs, or getting into the pond/soil/aquifer. Someone asked at some point if it makes the buzzing noise, and I'm attaching a video of the "bbzzZZT!" is makes when a big moth went in, and then toward the end you can hear the typical noise it makes for a regular fly/mosquito. Fast zap. My camera was very close to it, so it's not THAT loud typically, but you get the idea. Highly recommended!

Five Stars
I have left this unit plugged in 24 hours a day 7 days a week all spring and up till fall, in storms, and it stays in the same spot in the yard in the winter. here it is 2 years later and it's still on with bugs stuck to the grill. this thing puts a significant dent in the mosquito population at my house, it over delivers.

Amazing Zapper
This bug zapper is very powerful, and in just two hours, it managed to attract and 'zap' around 500 bugs on a humid evening. This unit should be strategically located not too far or not too close to human activity; I have mine positioned about 10 feet from my deck. I sat on the deck with only a few pests all evening, as this unit was zapping away. As for cleaning the unit: unscrew the bottom, unscrew the bulb (to prevent damage), and use the brush that's included with the zapper to remove dead bugs. You may want to start with some compressed air to get most of the dead bugs off the grate, then brush off the stubborn ones. I highly recommend storing the zapper in your garage or shed when not in use, as it's not really weatherproof, except for the top (roofing) of the unit. Don't use this product when it's raining. Overall, this was a worthwhile purchase. Enjoy your summer virtually bug-free!

This and a Moth Trap near it solved my indoor moth problem.
I actually got this for indoor use. Even though the little manual that came with it says it is for outdoor only, I did use it indoors. I set it on a raidiator (in summer) with a stoneware plate under it. My problem was with MOTHS. They didn't appear to be pantry or clothes. I never saw any moths in my bedroom or the kitchen. Only the living room. And I think they nested... in my monitor. Early evenings I would see a small moth appear above my monitor while I worked. It was happening repeatedly. I had trapped and cedar, etc, but they didn't seem to be catching in the trap. And they would always disappear into the living room. Now My front door opens right into my office so I always have problems with bugs coming in at night when I open the door. So I put one of the Moth Trap (which only attracts Male moths) next to the bug zapper.Well this solved everything. I plugged this in each sunset and between 7 and 9 PM I would here the zap of bugs. After a few weeks, not only did I have a trap full of moths, but each day I had some new one fried on the plate. Between the trap and this I haven't seen a month in months.

Great, for the half hour that it worked.
The lamp looks great and would be wonderful if it worked. The first lamp we received unfortunately must have had a defect and was dead on arrival. The seller was great and immediately shipped a replacement, which worked when I tested it out upon unboxing. Two days ago I finally had time to hang it up. Bought an extended-hook arm, hung up the lamp, turned it on and marveled in how wonderfully the thing attracted and annihilated the surrounding creeters, it was on for about 25-39min. It was a sight to behold.Last night we switched it on again, however, instead of repeating the show the thing clicked but nothing happened. Second attempt to turn on it didn't even click. It's totally dead after being on for no more than half hour total. Not sure what to do, I'll try returning it, or maybe fiddling with the innards if the seller instructs. Very disappointed, this product has a lot of promise, just wish it would work.

Great for the price!
I researched bug zapper lights for a while before I bought this unit. I figured it was worth a try b/c it says weather resistant and the price was very reasonable. So far, so good. I've been using it for several months now and it does a great job of attracting any kind of flying insect and KILLING them. I have it hanging up under a small overhang on the side of my house. It gets rained on so I unplug it when it's going to rain. It works every time I plug it back in, so I guess that proves it's weather resistant. It's not too large and not too small.I have already recommended my parents to get one for their home b/c they have a bad mosquito problem like we do.I'll be getting another one if this every stops working.

Does not zap a thing
We purchased two different zappers, this was the more expensive one. It looks great but that's about it. While the other zapper, which is located on the opposite end of our backyard was CONSTANTLY going off, this one my husband watched as bugs landed on the light unscathed. I am not sure why it doesn't work but I will be returning this.

Great zapper, made well, works well.
We keep this on in our garage to attract the mosquitoes that get caught in there when the garage doors are open. By the dead bugs under it, there is no doubt that it works. Scares the hell out of the dog when it zaps, though!

Arrived DOA. Returned for refund.Big problem was the product was shipped from U.S. (Made in China)Only after I returned the product I got a bill for $53 from FedEx for customs clearance and duties. The problem was that there was no indication whatsoever on the Amazon web the product was being shipped from U.S.The manufacturer asked me to open the case and repair it. (Are you kidding?)
