Where should I place the monitor for best results?

Only indoors (never outdoors), when placing it avoid areas of high ventilation as it could skew the results. We recommend placing it in areas where people gather like the kitchen or living room. Can be placed on a surface or wall-mounted.

Will I have accurate measurements from day 1?

PM, humidity, temperature and air pressure, are ready from day 1. CO2 and VOC sensors will adjust to the environment during the first week. For radon levels long-term average is important, so wait until after the first month before you act.

What’s with the hub feature in View Plus?

Users monitoring air in multiple rooms with both View and Wave monitors can can use the app to link their Wave monitors to the View’s hub. This extends View Plus internet connectivity to Airthings Wave monitors and extends battery life.

Can I do anything to extend the battery life?

You can double the battery life by lowering the frequency at which the monitor sends the data it collects to the cloud. By default it sends its data every 10 minutes but you can reduce this to every 60 minutes.

Why wait at least 20 days before acting on your measured radon level?

Radon levels fluctuate due to weather changes, so a longer test provides a more accurate average, as short-term tests may miss this. Levels can take days to a month to stabilise within ±10% accuracy. Waiting at least 20 days ensures reliable results.
