So far, so good
Very nice exercise bike for the money. Seems fairly well built, having used angular steel instead of steel tubing for the main support structure. Have been using it for several weeks now, and so far no major complaints. But, I would like to mention several minor issues I did notice during assembly and initial first use. First, the display ONLY registers speed and distance in KILOMETERS, not MILES-PER-HOUR as I feel it should for the American market. And there is no way to change it. There is a small letter "K" on the left side of the display that indicates this. During assembly, several of the screws and washers are mislabeled between the manual and the actual parts. Such as, the manual says use part #51, but the actual part is labeled as part #61 in the kit. The screws to attach the display are already screwed into the back of the display unit. The manual suggests these screws are separate from the display unit and located somewhere else in the kit. They are not. The seat is VERY HARD and a bit of an awkward design. Men may find it particularly uncomfortable the longer they ride. My bike arrived with damage to the foam padding on the handle bars, as well as a large paint chip on the left handle bar. See pictures. I contacted the company about it, but so far no response as to getting replacements. It took about half a day to assemble the bike, but do yourself a favor and use real tools to assemble the bike. Such as a deep socket metric set, and a real Phillips screw driver and Allen wrenches. The tools that come with the kit suck.

Take your time putting it together
It works really well it’s little difficult to assemble but it is well worth it

Such an Incredible Disappointment
First of all, it took over three hours to assemble. I got passed that. The right pedal/rods immediately started squeaking with the first use and it felt kind of clunky. I sprayed a little TD-40 on it and that seemed to take care of it. The next day, during my second use, it started squeaking again and, within 10 minutes, the rod completely snapped off! Smh...I called Marcy. They were not help. I called Amazon and set up a return/refund. Amazon was great. No issues with them.

Ride and glide
It's a good machine. Ride it while watching TV. The adjustable seat holding bar isn't the greatest. It tends to come loose and the seat glides on you while pedaling. You have to stop and relock it place

Great rehab bike after knee replacement surgery
This Marcy recumbent bike has really helped my recovery after having knee replacement surgeries and MUA on both knees! After being wheelchair-bound for many years and not having much, if any, flexion, it was crucial to get my knees moving after surgery. I'm on this bike for 10 minutes, 3-4 times a day, and it actually feels good to get that circular motion going to relax my stiff knees. In the beginning, I really needed the moving arms of the bike to help my legs pedal since my flexion was limited, but now my legs can do it on its own. The seat is a bit firm which is fine for me but may be uncomfortable for some. While I definitely notice the different tension levels, my husband didn't really notice a huge difference from the lowest to the highest level. It's my therapy bike anyways. :) I've been using the bike for about 6 months now. The one thing I make sure to do is to periodically check and tighten some bolts. Marcy customer service was also really helpful when I had some questions.

Low Quality = Loud Quality
If it wasn't for whatever cheap bearing/gears/parts this would be a 10/5 amazing deal because it's one of the few recumbent bikes out there that's priced well, fits well, and also works the arms. But the amount of noise it makes is soul-grating. This is not some "oh, the breaks are squealing on my car occasionally" kind of noise, this is machine-shop levels of metal on metal screeching. And that's if the wheel doesn't get locked up. I'm not saying to violate the warranty, but if you have someone in your life who is engineering-savvy then it might be worth a $8 bottle of bearing oil and an afternoon doing bike surgery to see about fixing it.

Some assembly required
As a graduate engineer I can say there is a significant disconnect between the assembly instructions and actual assembly. The package was well designed and assembly simplified. Major problem in that the connector rod instructions are actually off by 180 degrees making it impossible to assemble the bike. Fortunately the picture on the box is correct which helped me understand that the instruction sheet showed the right rod backwards. The bike itself is sturdy, well designed, and as advertised. The sketch on the outside of the box clearly showed me the problem. Unfort-unately you are not aware it is backwards and won’t fit together until 6 steps later. A corrected set of assembly instructions should be provided purchaser’s.

It's good, but arrived with the progress monitor screen stuck showing 0 constantly across all speeds and settings, but I managed to fix it after significant disassembly and troubleshooting. I bought one of these in "Used - Mint" condition. It arrived reasonably packaged and in good aesthetic shape, all screws and such were present, etc. However, once it was all assembled, the progress monitor screen kept showing 0 across all settings regardless of speed or tension setting. To make a long, frustrating story short, there's a magnet that passes a sensor every time you turn the pedals, and that magnet was missing. If the magnet had fallen off during shipping, or the previous owner had bumped it off, it would have been strongly stuck to any of all the heavy magnetic metal somewhere inside the plastic cowling, but it's missing entirely, as if it left the factory that way. I fortunately had some extra button magnets in a cabinet and have glued one where it belongs. The bike works fine. Pretty quiet, pretty smooth. The tension doesn't get very strong, but while I had the plastic cowling off I verified that the tension was adjusting with the dial, so this is just how it's made. It's for endurance, not strength, afterall. I'm pleased with the bike now, but 4 stars for lack of quality inspection.

Overall this is a solid exercise bike and it works well once set up. The machine feels sturdy and is good for home workouts. However, the right pedal has a problem and will not screw into the frame properly, so it won’t go in all the way even with WD40. Aside from that issue, the bike itself seems like a good machine.

I bought this in October. I broke my arm the same month and wasn't able to use it until late January at which time a bolt fell off while I was use it. This kept happening and finally the bolt was stripped and no longer any good for use. My husband reached out to the company and they had said they would send new paddles but they were back ordered n would be 4 to 6 weeks...here we are in April and still no paddles...bike is garbage and customer service is too
