Join Elefun elephant in this spinning butterfly chase! The Elefun Flyers game is an exciting fluttering frenzy as kids try to catch as many butterfly flyers as they can in their nets. First, load the flyers into the elephant's trunk, then step down on its tail to launch the spinning discs into the air. Catch them as they flutter in the air or grab them up when they land…they all count towards a final score. The player with the most discs wins the game. The Elefun Flyers game requires no batteries and features easy storage on the game unit. It makes a fun activity to do while staying at home, and can be a great birthday gift or holiday gift for preschoolers and kids ages 4 and up. The game is for 1-3 players so it's fun to play with friends or solo.

This is not a free review.
I see many of the reviews for this item are provided by "vine reviewers" who were given the item for free, in return of a review. Biased or not, this is something I paid for. The disks do not fly very high. I can't get them to go up more than a foot. So even a 3 year old has to bend over to catch them. I have VERY fond memories of this game (with the butterflies) as a kid, and would love for my little one to have the same memories - but this will be collecting dust for a while I'm sure.

Parts keep falling off
Its a fun game and good for eye/hand coordination, but that tail will not stay put. Shows it as a foot pedal but I set it on a coffee table and press it with my hand. I even had my son in law try to get it to stick, no go. It just won't click and stay in place. So we play for awhile and the tail falls off, then we stop, put the tail back on and continue. One ear falls off too. But it is a fun inside game. The concept is good, the manufacturing is not.

Entertaining fun game for the whole family
The game is great. We don't have a problem with the disks not flying high. Just today I had the disks fly up to the ceiling, and because they still had "juice" in them, they coasted along the ceiling before gliding down, to my shrieking toddler trying to catch them. It's a fun game. Our 20-month old can press the pedal hard enough to get the disks high up into the air. I love that it's a game with no batteries, no electronics, just good ol' elbow (or foot) grease and fun.My only negative comment about this game (and it doesn't warrant taking off one star, because it really is a great product) is the fact that you have to take off the ears/ tail/ grass from the body of the elephant before storing it back in the box. A lot of kid games are "unthought" in this way. It's just mildly annoying to have to build it/ take it apart each time we play, but it's easy enough to do. And I don't regret at all having this game, even with this detail. It's a fun game, and gets our kids laughing and running around trying to catch the disks. We're all having fun - adults, toddlers, it's a good family game.

Purrfect!
Yeah, I don’t have kids. I got this solely for my cats, and they LOVE IT. My one cat has a hard time getting active, and my other cats keeps stealing my scrunchies- so I got them this! The plastic discs are a super light material and are NOT dangerous. My cats will swat each disc in the air and chase them like they instinctually would a bird. They even bring the discs back to me! It’s super safe, fun and very easy to use! Especially happy that it’s not battery operated. Please, steal my idea and buy this for your cats. A+ for activity, engagement and fun!

Hate that they changed the old one, but this is amazing!
I hate that the new Ella fun is not nearly as well-made as the old one so we opted out for the newer version and I’m so glad we did. My daughter and I have been playing with it for hours. It is so much fun. I am so glad she will have these memories like I do from my childhood.

Not the game you used to know
I bought this game for my kids thinking it was the one from my childhood but oh is it so not that game. This one comes with spinning flyers which can only be loaded in the toy 3 at a time or else they don’t fly up very well. Which means someone needs to sit there and load it, then push down the tail to spin them up in the air. The nets are jokingly small and shallow making it impossible to catch these things. My 3 and 4 year old were practically in tears after 10 minutes playing and not catching a single thing. Finally however, my 4 year old did figure out the best way to catch them and my husband sat and loaded them individually to give her the best chance at catching them. So they did end up having fun playing together, but it was NOT the game from our childhood where you turned on the machine and the little butterflies flew out by themselves and were easy and fun to catch.

No batteries and so fun!!
I was disappointed to see this was a different game but its IMPROVED!!!The old game had the tarp tube trunk and little fabric butterflies, required batteries and and rarely worked properly. This new version has a “stomp rocket” like tail that spins the helicopter fliers up, up and away!I only load 1-3 fliers at a time because they don’t go as high when you load more than that… has tons of spare fliers that you can keep tucked in the base.GREAT TOY!!! Way to listen to feedback and improve on a beloved, fun game!

Love it.
Both my 5 year old and my 1 year old love this toy. My son was so disappointed when he opened it (spoiled) then I started playing it and and he saw how awesome it was. Now it's all he wants to play. I find my 1 year old loves to put the disks back on the trunk and push the pedal with her hands to watch them spin off. She will do it over and over again. Actually every kid that had come to our house has loved it. Definitely worth the buy.
