This is a vacuum pot and uses a vacuum pump. You would not use an air compressor. Perhaps you are looking for a pressure pot? You would use a compressor with a pressure pot to apply pressure.

Q: what is the internal dimension of the 2 gallon chamber?

Off the top of my head im not sure. But i will say it worked pretty well. The pump could be a bit stronger and it did tend to start having to fiddle with the lid to get it to get vac but the company did stand behind there product and did send me another set up for the issues i had so thats a plus
