A Tree for All Seasons (Rise and Shine)

My 8 year old was struggling to remember the seasons. We covered this book at every season change over the year. When we were outside, we would ask him, “how can you tell it’s fall? What’s different? What changes do you see in the trees?” Seriously, this is a great book! We love it!

This is a good book to introduce the seasons to my 2 year old. There are a lot of vivid pictures to draw his attention. He definitely enjoys reading this book.

I gave it to a 4 1/2 year old who loves trees and she was very excited to get it.

My children and husband absolutely love these National Geographic books! I think we have them all. We rotate them according to the season. They are nonfiction but use great pictured of real kids, and they’re short enough to be an easy bedtime story.

All of these National Geographic books are great and you cannot go wrong for the price. They have beautiful photography and make learning come alive for kids. Both my five year old and seven year old love these books and we bring them out as the seasons change to help illustrate what is going on in our own back yard. Your child will not even know he/she is learning!

I purchased this for my preschool class, and the photos are very high quality, as are the photos in all of Sayre's books.

Great photos that explain the seasons. There are close ups on things like tree buds and squirrels. The content is age appropriate and so is the font size. I have a 6year old son and it kept his interest

Beautiful pictures

The book looks at a Maple tree through the seasons. The larger concept of changes in the natural world around us brought about by seasons is very well communicated.
