Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS60 Digital Camera (Black)

My camera died rather spectacularly, and when I went looking for a new one, I was really happy to discover that I could still get this model. It is easy to operate and has great zoom. I also really like the macro zoom function, as I like to take photos of very small flowers and insects. There is a mode that lets me take good photos out of the window of a moving vehicle. The camera is small enough and light weight enough that is is a good travel companion. This is easily the best camera I've owned and I would not have bought it again if it weren't really good. Newer is not necessarily better. Definitely recommend it.

This camera's best feature is that that it allows you to take pictures when the light conditions prevent you from using its screen. I own a high-end DSLR, but this is the camera I use most frequently. It's small, the range of its zoom lens is phenomenal, it takes fine photos, it offers exposure and focus options, and best of all, it has a viewfinder. The last feature makes it unique in this class of camera. How many times have you looked at you camera's screen to frame a shot and seen only the reflection of your face? The viewfinder solves that problem. I would recommend purchasing the separate charger and extra battery. A single battery will always give out at the least convenient time. This camera has what I consider an over abundance of features, some of which you can turn on inadvertently. It can take a while to learn all the options (and how to turn them of). Nonetheless when my old DMC-ZS60 started to have problems with its sensor in low light, I bought a new one and gave to old one to my son. He's delighted with it.

Simplicity

I love this little camera. I love to take pictures, but hate having to fiddle with lenses etc. This takes great pictures and I am able to make adjustments after the fact. I have to do some experimenting at first, it's great!!
