Twisted Palace, Oh My!
Twisted Palace, oh my!So I don't write reviews, I've attempted it 5 times, 7 maybe.? I try to always rate a book at the end by the star system but I'm not a writer, grammar correct, & all that. I'm from coal country...I say ya'll, ain't, & pronounce light like "lyyyyte" on the daily. Plus, I'm a Pisces...I blame everything on this point. Have you ever watched a movie & feel like it's happening to you?? That's totally me. Have you ever felt this & tried to explain all your "feels" & never do it justice, & then been like F it, just watch? Gah, that's really me. Did you just find the wonder of reading in the past few years? Ugh probably not but sadly, that's me too. My least favorite subject was anything remotely close to English/Literature....I know, dude I KNOW! I tell you all this to forewarn, this will not be like all the reviews I rely so heavily on. You talented humans who can, oh how I appreciate you!Anyway, I loved the first two books so much I applied for my first ARC ever & surprisingly got it! (Hell to the Yessssss!) Hence, trying to do this writing business. Ugh, the stress is real. I even googled "book review etiquette." Yep, not happening. I tried, trust me...it would only look & read like a knock off, that's a hard pass.I don't want to spoil anything, go into detail, fangirl each character, rate heat, or copy & paste the description. Sounds like I'm not going to review it, gezz Hopefully someone out there is like me & hates reviewing & knows I'm sitting here about to break in a sweat & will have mercy & just read the dang book!I will say, type, whatever, that I read this book days ago & I still remember everything...do you know how big that is??? Huge!! My memory is terrible, like my mother who has had a major brain aneurysm legit has to remind me of stuff. Like my husband will say "Remember that movie two weekends ago on Netflix ehh nevermind that's a dumb question." Since reading Twisted Palace on Oct 8th no sh!t, (outside of my normal day to day stuff) my 97 year old great uncle went missing, even made the local news (found a day later btw,) my 85 year old Grandma had to evacuate FL b/c the hurricane, took the most boring 8 hour defense driving class ever, my cousins house caught fire next door to my Dad's & forreal burned to the ground, my dog's currently on his last day of wearing a cone for a week from getting neutered, I tried uh "self love" in the bath tub & thought, "Hey, I'll watch some bow chicka bow wow on my iphone" yea, DON'T! I may have got a little toooo excited and dropped my phone...& uh, yea it had to be resurrected in a pan of rice that my husband saw after work & that was totally fun explaining. No, if you're wondering, it wasn't. He laughed, like tears rolling. Is there a such thing as death by embarrassment? Ugh. Moving on, I've also read several books since & can't even remember a single title but guess what...miraculously, thru all the crazy of my so called life, I remember Twisted Palace! WOW, that alone makes it's a 5 star read for me! It's that memorable! To the Authors, bless you! I sincerely hope you continue on with the other Royal men! Each one is so interesting, has depth, & truly deserve a HEA! I would honestly enjoy reading stories about the "bad guys." That never happens! Somehow you two authors have made me feel such extremes for many characters that I would LOVE to see their back stories & where they go from here. Pretty please!I will say in short there's secrets, secrets revealed, angst, love, family, loyalty, suspense...It's Days of Our Lives meets 90210 meets Law & Order meets Basic Instinct, Wild Things, Varsity Blues, etc. It has everything! I mean really, enough said?I'll end this with my favorite network & some Andy Cohen...Bravo, Mazel Tov! This book & trilogy was fantastic! I can't wait for another release by Erin Watt!Mazel- To the Royals! If you were real, (how I wish ya'll were real), & if my husband was the type to agree, he totally isn't, but hypothetically I'd 100% put all of your names in the bowl of hall passes.Jackoff- To whoever reads the first two & doesn't like this book or who hasn't started this trilogy...I'll so graciously quote Will Ferrell from Old School...."I like you, but you're crazy."Enough said.Oh goodness I forgot...do I need to state the "receiving an ARC for an honest review thing.?" I've purchased the book too so not sure it matters or the point, but yea, I don't do lies, bribes, sexual favors, whatever...well I do bribe my nephews, their 2 & 6 😳 And I'm married so "sexual favors" hmmm..interesting concept. I'll have to think on that one but yes, this non-review review that talks more about myself than the book...SMH it's all my doing. I think I'll leave ARC's up to the more eloquent writers from now on.So again I haven't explained jack, gah, just go read it please!!

The conclusion to Ella and Reed's story but I need more Royals!!!!
Twisted Palace (The Royals #3) by Erin Watt4 stars!!!“We’re not running. We’re going to stay and fight.”This has been an incredible reading week and I have had an incredible run of very different yet amazing reads in their own right. This series has been a guilty pleasure, I love my college romances, I love living vicariously through these teenagers as they live a life I never had and I have soaked up every word, every situation and every plot twist. While this has ultimately been Ella and Reed’s story the shenanigans going on at the Royal house has kept the pace of this series running at the rate of knots and it certainly doesn’t let up in Twisted Palace…hang on for the ride!“Reed is loyal to his core. He’d die for his family. Hell, he might’ve even killed for it.”The tag line for this series is “The Royals will ruin you” and that certainly continues in Twisted Palace. After the ending of Broken Prince, I was aghast, I mean how could they leave it there for starters and two how the hell was this one going to be explained. It is all doom and gloom for Reed in this book, even though he is seemingly innocent the evidence against him is condemning, how could an innocent man look so guilty…unless he wasn’t? I had so many theories, but no matter where my thought processes went, I was always wrong. The situation is untenable, but Reed, being Reed stepped up to the plate, to make the ultimate sacrifice when all Ella wanted to do was run.“Reed’s not the destroyer. He’s never destroyed anything in his life; he’s always been the protector, even at this moment when he battles his own lust for control.”Ella was a “runner” first and foremost, but with Reed behind her she couldn’t get very far. As much as she wanted to run, Reed pulled her back. This was the biggest test of their relationship and watching them battle through as a team was beautiful to witness. This makes them stronger, but not only them, the Royal’s as a whole pull together. A family decimated through grief finally pull together to protect and support one of their own. Ella may be their “princess” but one thing she has done is brought these men together, made them stronger, made them a family once again. Ella now has a family; the Royals are fiercely protective of their women but it seems the rest of the world wants to tear them apart. Is this a crisis that even the Royal reputation and money can’t worm their way out of?“I know that your first instinct is to fight. It’s an admirable trait. But this is the one time you need to surrender.”I have adored this series from the very first page of Paper Princess to the last of Twisted Palace, but I feel that this is just the tip of the iceberg. This may be the conclusion to Ella and Reed’s story but there are a lot of Royal men that need their story to be told. Gideon has been the biggest enigma, I am desperate to know what makes this elder Royal tick, how he got himself into the situations he did and now, after the aftermath, what is to become of him. The twins story is certainly going to be fun, these two are inseparable in life and love…a YA ménage? Easton, the joker, yet so troubled, he needs to be calmed down a little, maybe love is just what he needs. Now I am showing my age though, I am desperate for the silver fox’s story, Callum. This man, my heart has broken for him on so many occasions and now the truth has finally been revealed maybe he can move on, he deserves it.“Come now. Bring Callum. Bring everyone. But especially Callum.”Erin Watt, the writing powerhouse, have brought us an unforgettable family, a family that I am not willing to leave, I only hope that the success of this trilogy spurs them on to continue my Royal romance. I love it when you get so invested, it is testament to the skill of the authors and this family have wheedled their way into my heart and head. While Twisted Palace was all sorts of crazy, it was a gripping intense crazy, an unpredictable crazy and I want more. Give me more crazy!!!!
