Volume two of the manga for My Youth Romantic Comedy features two slight changes from volume 1. In this volume, the arcs start to get longer, with the first taking up three issues/chapters, with two for each of the others (one to be continued in Vol 3). The second is that this volume is much more focused on comedy than drama. The new character introduced is a boy, who looks like a girl, who Hikigaya can't help being attracted to. Plus the new Boys love fan (passionate Boys love fan, I might add) and the already existing guy who lives life like an RPG, and we're developing quite the roster of characters. So, plot, this novel features three arcs does a decent job showing off the skills of both Hachiman and Yukinoshita. First is the tennis arc, where the club trains a student who isn't that good, giving Yukino a chance to show off her athleticism. Then the group tries to track down the distributors of a vicious chain text, with Hachiman using his body-language-reading skills. And finally, the group tries to reform a punk student, to be continued. This volume was about as much of a thrill ride as a slice of life manga gets.

10/10 My Book Reviewing Comedy Is Bad, As I Expected.
I watched the anime. I enjoyed the anime so much it persuaded me to purchase my first manga. Even after watching the anime so recently reading the manga of the same story didn't feel like a chore, it still felt fun interesting and addictive. So addictive in fact that I read both book number 1 and book number 2 the day they arrived through the post, a single sitting for each. My youth romantic comedy is officially one of my favourite animes, and now favourite mangas, I'd recommend this to anyone who has fond memories of how awkward secondary school/high school can be, when you had a few good friends and a bunch of awkward hobbies that brought you all together, at first glance it appears to be a stereotypical slice of life high school rom com story, but it very quickly recognises itself and takes a direction of its own, poking fun at the sterotype and creating an interesting setting with extremely likeable characters (even though they shouldn't be likeable). I cant rate this story highly enough, go read it then tell me Im wrong. Actually don't. Book number 3 comes out in December.
