factory code on lock worked fine when loading up. got to destination and suddenly it does not work. now I have to break it yo get to my luggage.Updated after getting home from my trip::I bought this on prime day thinking I got a great deal, it looked similar to all the others on the market. When I got the box and unpackaged It seemed like it was well manufactured, it came with a carrying pouch for storing while not in use, an anti slip mat like the kind you put in your cabinet with dishes, and a lock that was sized for the product. We packed up our trip for Florida and made a stop half way. I used the included lock but kept it at the default code because it was more for deterrence than anything, we didnt have valuables in it. Fast forward one day and we arrive at our destination, tired, and ready to start our vacation. lo and behold the lock is frozen and will not accept the default code. Had to literally pry it off with brute force. After I got the lock off, I noticed that in a span of driving 12 miles, there were already signs of wear on the exterior? How is that even possible? Fast forward again to our return trip home from Florida. The carrier was stored in a spare room at the rental property, out of sight and reach from anyone. I got it back up on the van (which btw this product is not designed for cargo racks), and I am zipping a 2/3 full carrier and one zipper effortlessly comes off, literally not much force applied and certainly nowhere close to being overstuffed. Luckily there was a second zipper so I was able to make it work. WHAT A PAIN, RUN AWAY LIKE THE PLAGUE, this is just a cheap 5$ product made overseas marked up for Amazon and made to look like other brands. The fact I am even leaving this much feedback is in hopes that someone reads it and saves themself a hassle. The 1 start review is the lowest I could give and its fitting because Amazon refunded me promptly and i sent it back.

I love how easy it was to install. It's very spacious and waterproof. My only issue is one of the velcro pieces that cover the zipper came undone after one use.

I strapped this to the top of our car for a 3600 mile road trip. Installation was easy and the instructions were clear.As for durability, this cargo carrier endured several hours of torrential rain, some heavy snow, and very strong winds throughout the trip. Through all of that, the carrier stayed sturdy and didn’t shift at all on top of my car (I took great care to tighten the straps very well).I will say that it’s not 100% weatherproof because some of luggage was damp. But I wasn’t even mad because it was A LOT of rain.I would definitely use this cargo carrier again on future road trips.

It does repel water, which is why I chose it. However, on the second leg of a trip that took two days, a 2” hole in the seam opened right at the top & front of the bag. It wasn’t full or strained , so not sure why it tore so easily — there were no abrasions. I returned it immediately. Also, due to the design of the straps attaching from the TOP of the bag and not the bottom, it is necessary to COMPLETELY UNHOOK ALL STRAPS FROM VEHICLE BEFORE ONE CAN REMOVE THEIR BELONGINGS. This means that when stopping for the night, the whole bag and tie downs need to be untied from the vehicle. Can’t just unzip and leave the bag on the car. As hotel travelers, that’s an issue that needs to be remedied. Should be able to leave the bag tied on by bottom straps so as to remove belongings and not repeat the whole arduous process every night and morning. I cannot recommend this product and suggest that you avoid.

We purchased our roof bag to free up room in car for our pets. Having seen many rooftop car carriers in the median of major highways, we were somewhat concerned of safety and reliability of roofbags. We drove almost 800 miles in 12 hours through freezing rain and sleet coming down and drove back 800 miles in high wind and torrential rain. Everything stayed dry and bag stayed in place. Good product.

One of the best things we have bought! We have a small car and wanted to go camping, it gave us ample room and was the perfect fit for our car! We will recommend this product to anyone and everyone! Only downside, I’m fairly tall and the strap were in my way, but we were able to figure it out and it was no bother coming home!

It worked better than I thought it would. Easy to put it up, and easy to use.

This product perfectly solves my car don't have a luggage rack problem. It worked better than I expected. Its easier to install on my roof. Because I haven't experienced rain, I haven't tested its waterproof function. But its material is heavy waterproof. I will recommend it to my friends.
