The secret to lovely vanilla scones!
The Starbucks petite vanilla bean scones were getting a bit out of budget, so I sought to bring out the baking pan and to make them at home from scratch. These vanilla beans have been an irreplaceable companion on my journey towards the perfect vanilla scone, though I'd also like to give accolades to fresh cream and unsalted Irish butter. There's something to fresh vanilla caviar, whether the fresh, unadulterated flavor or the sheer aesthetic appeal of the vanilla flecks (which my family raved about) that just can't be matched by extract. Thank you, vanilla beans. We couldn't have made wonderfully delicious vanilla bean scones without you.I haven't made extract with these, so I can't comment on that - but these were moist with a nice flavor, and the fragrance of them was absolutely lovely. They were sealed air-tight (vacuum?) to avoid oxidation, keeping all the flavor and good stuff in. Truly fragrant and beautiful, so whether you're making scones or extract, I'd recommend!

They are as they should be and will make a nice flavorful addition to foods.
Sealed in very heavy plastic bag. No leaks. Best by date on package Aug 28 2030All very near 6.5 inches, non less nore 7 inches. All plump and good layer of seeds. All in good and not slit.A correct woodsy, deep taste and flavor. I ate a nice size piece and am smiling for the deep natural flavor. The smell and touch makes me think they may have dipped in a glycerin or oily product for help to stay preserved. It is a very light coating and a rinse will take care of it.They are as they should be and will make a nice flavorful addition to foods.

Loving these vanilla beans...
These were purchased to make vanilla extract. I was very impressed with these vanilla beans. I previously ordered from another company and wasn't impressed with theirs. These are so much thicker and even a little longer. They came air tight sealed, they weren't dried out, nice dark in color & are nice and thick. As for taste, I have to wait a year before my vanilla extract is ready. I will be placing another order soon.

Best vanilla pods without buying direct from farmer
TL/DR - you need more than a couple beans in a jar of alcohol if you’re making vanilla extractThese are amazing Indonesian beans, especially for the price. These beans aren’t as big as other varieties, but it is what you should expect for an Indonesian bean. They mostly have a very good amount of caviar in them. I can see if someone doesn’t actually know what to expect from a vanilla bean they would think they aren’t plump, but if you have any doubts go by a bean from your local grocery store. If your store in vodka, you will have an easier time getting all the seeds (aka caviar) out. They are very fresh and pliable (as they should be) and have a great scent. If you think they smell weird, lightly rub on your inner wrist and smell 15 minutes later (so the scent isn’t so concentrated). A lot of the pictures of “mold” on here isn’t actually mold, it is vanillin (the compound that gives the flavor you all know and love as vanilla).I ordered a few packages of these, and the average was about 1.3 ounces for the 11 beans (because weight is was matters when making vanilla extract - 1 ounce beans per 8 oz vodka/rum/etc). The smallest was just over one ounce and the largest was 2.1 ounces. If you are buying these for vanilla extract, just understand that putting a bean or two in a jar of vodka isn’t going to taste good. And it is not because there is something wrong with the beans. FDA regulations for vanilla extract is 13.xx ounces per gallon, which is about .85 ounces per cup (I round up to 1 ounce). If you are just using the beans for the caviar, don’t! Throw the pod in some alcohol to make extract, add it to sugar to make vanilla sugar, or grind it up to make vanilla powder. The pod is where all the real flavor is

Great quality, taste and smell wonderful.
Smell amazing and well packaged/fully sealed as pictured. Can't wait to make coffee syrup and bake with these. They taste amazing and I prefer the organic certified beans for ease of mind. I used some to make creme brulèe and it was so good. This was a great deal for the size of the package.

A great value! 3.6 ounces, 101 grams, these are fragrant, beautiful beans!
Weighty and a great value! Vanilla beans are expensive, and it gets confusing when listings are offered by weight OR bean count, but both pieces of information are not available. These beans, while not the prized Madagascar beans, are a very good value. My pack measured 3.6 ounces / 101 grams. For $17.99, it’s a super deal! The beans are soft and appear fresh.Made extract today with Woodford Reserve Bourbon and these Indonesian beans. I chose this combination based on reading several websites reviewing which bean/alcohol combos suit each other. This will be a long extraction but I expect it to be rich in flavors.I used ~1.1 oz beans whole per 8 ounces of bourbon. Because the bourbon is already such a gorgeous color, I chose to keep these Grade A beans whole for this batch. I had to cut the ends/tips a bit to fit my 8.5 oz Wertioo Quadra bottles, so the beans were really good size!Saved the wrapper/bag and the cut tips in a small zip bag of sugar to make use of the oils in these “leftover” bits.Bottles: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08PZ44VJS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1

Pristine Plumpness and Moisture – Flawless Quality for Serious Long-Term Extractions
For home bakers, pastry enthusiasts, or anyone running small-batch artisanal projects, sourcing high-grade vanilla beans in bulk can be a massive gamble. Many bulk packages arrive dried out, brittle, or completely lacking that rich, oily sheen. This 50-pack of Grade A vanilla beans completely blows the competition away, delivering phenomenal moisture content, incredible aroma, and pristine culinary performance.I currently have a batch of double-fold extract steeping in bourbon jars right now using these beans, set for a full one-year extract run that will be perfectly ready by this December. The quality of these pods gives me total confidence that the end result is going to be incredibly deep and complex.Moisture Content & Bean Quality: The standout feature of this batch is the sheer plumpness of the pods. These are true Grade A beans, measuring a generous 6 to 8 inches in length. They are remarkably supple, flexible, and oily to the touch—meaning they are packed to the brim with millions of tiny, flavorful caviar seeds. They split open effortlessly with a paring knife without tearing or crumbling, allowing you to scrape out the caviar cleanly if you prefer using them directly in baking bases.Extract Efficiency & Packaging: Because these pods are non-GMO, incredibly fresh, and deeply aromatic, they infuse into spirits with exceptional speed and depth. The entire 50-count lot arrives vacuum-sealed in a heavy-duty, moisture-lock pouch. This is an absolute necessity for bulk spices, ensuring the beans retain their moisture baseline and intoxicating fragrance on your pantry shelf until you are ready to split them.Pros:Exceptionally plump, oily, and flexible Grade A pods with elite moisture retention.Generous 6–8" length ensures a massive yield of vanilla caviar per bean.Vacuum-sealed bulk packaging guarantees long-term freshness and aroma preservation.Outstanding price-per-piece value footprint for serious extract makers.Cons:Because they are vacuum-packed with high natural moisture, once you open the main seal, you'll want to transfer any unused beans to a tight glass jar or resealable airtight container to keep them from drying out.Verdict: A masterclass in ingredient quality. Whether you are splitting them for a high-end, long-term bourbon extract or scraping the caviar into gourmet pastries, these fresh pods deliver a rich, authentic flavor profile that mass-market products can't touch.
